"Ah, that’s grandpa." Bíng Huo sighed in relief. She immediately dragged Xi Xue to the room at the edge of the tower. The room was secluded enough from the outside world.
"Grandpa, I’m here, " Bíng Huo spoke again as she stopped in front of the small door of the last room on the first floor of the tower.
The girl held Xi Xue’s right hand as they stood side-by-side.
"Oh, Huo’er, just come inside. Hurry." A hoarse voice sounded behind the door, urging the girl to enter the room.
But, Bíng Huo didn’t immediately enter. She took a deep breath before speaking in a calm tone.
"I’m here with Xi Xue. The beast tamer guy I introduced to you a few days ago."
’I have to let grandpa know that Xi Xue is here. Else, he might get a heart attack.’
The old man paused. He didn’t speak for a few seconds before sighing. "Oh, that guy. It’s okay, just come in. I also want to see him." The old man answered without moving from his chair.
He kept flipping the page of the book in his hand.
"Okay..." Bíng Huo looked at Xi Xue and nodded. The girl slowly opened the wooden door without letting go of Xi Xue’s hand.
The moment she opened the door, the sight of an older man sitting against the glass wall appeared in front of her. The sunlight seeped through the glass wall behind him, adding a backlight effect.

"Let’s go, Xi Xue, " The girl whispered as she walked further.
