After walking for more than an hour, Shen Yanxiao arrived at the entrance of the village.
Small houses nestled in the small village which were tightly close to each other, mottled walls were covered with grey, and the straw-stacked roofs looked extremely shabby.
Several villagers dressed in short-sleeves clothing with hoe in their hands were laughing inside the village.
Shen Yanxiao squinted her eyes, she finally understood why Du Lang did not doubt this village, which, at any rate, seemed so barren and simple.
The few passing villagers suddenly saw Shen Yanxiao and Vermilion Bird who stood at the village's entrance. The doors and windows of most houses there were incomplete. By all accounts, it was really an extreme barren village.
However, the villagers here were unusually kind and exceptionally helpful.
For Shen Yanxiao and Vermilion Bird, the two from a foreign family, the villagers did not ask much. Instead, they enthusiastically served some food and told Little Ke to bring them well to Uncle Jiu.
