Chapter 153: Quick, Take Your Hands Off Me
Full of interest, Su Wan took another spoonful of spicy soup. The aroma which entered the nose instantly pleased the taste buds.
Just as Su Wan was ready to drink the soup, she realized that Jiang Xuecheng was watching her while the food sat in front of him untouched.
Su Wan looked up in surprise, “Xuecheng, don’t you want to eat? The beef rice noodles here is really delicious. Trust me!”
Jiang Xuecheng skimmed through the bowl of rice noodles. When he saw the surface covered with red oil, he looked gloomy.
After some internal struggle, he finally took up the chopstick reluctantly.
He took a piece of beef and removed the red oil by the edge of the porcelain bowl and then slowly sent it into his mouth.
Su Wan saw his reluctant look and her eyes lit up. A smile appeared on her pretty face.
“Are you afraid of spicy food? In the past, I couldn’t eat spicy food either. Lin Fei’er was the one who had brought me here. She had urged me several times before I dared to eat.”
“Who says I’m afraid?”
Jiang Xuecheng darted a glance at Su Wan and then, imitating her, took a spoonful of red soup from the bowl.
“Puff…” Su Wan smiled teasingly when she saw how Jiang Xuecheng desired to excel over others even in trivial matters like this. She warned, “Be careful, it’s spicy!”
Jiang Xuecheng shot her a side glance and without hesitation, finished drinking the spoonful of soup covered with chili oil without stopping.
Jiang Xuecheng’s eyes were so deep they looked bottomless. He commented slightly, “Nothing special after all.”
Su Wan pouted. She was surprised that it was Jiang Xuecheng’s first time eating this but his ability to resist spicy food was really strong.
When Lin Fei’er had brought her here, the spiciness made her whole face red and while coughing, her tears kept flowing!
“Alright, I salute you. Do you really not find it delicious?”
While asking, she took a few more pieces of beef.
In this narrow shop filled with smell of cooking, Jiang Xuecheng saw how Su Wan was enjoying herself, as if this bowl of rice noodles was the most delicious dish in the world. A weird feeling arose in his heart.
Jiang Xuecheng suddenly felt his appetite return. The initial inadaptability toward this shop had been suppressed. He smiled faintly and took some rice noodles for himself elegantly.
“It’s edible but can’t eat too much of it. It’s heaty.”
Watching Jiang Xuecheng’s elegant table manners and seeing his lips stained red with chili oil, Su Wan felt that Jiang Xuecheng looked cute without his usual air of a prince!
Su Wan couldn’t help laughing secretly. Then, she took big mouthful of her beef rice noodles.
Her round eyes curved into a beautiful radian, giving one a feel of an enchanting beauty.
When Jiang Xuecheng heard Su Wan giggling while eating, his deep eyes stared at her and his lips curved up. “The corners of your mouth are…”
Su Wan looked at him, muddleheaded. “What’s wrong with the corners of my mouth?”
“Stained with chili oil.”
Jiang Xuecheng smiled faintly and then gentlemanly passed a piece of tissue paper to Su Wan.
Su Wan shyly took the tissue paper. She couldn’t remember how many times she had embarrassed herself in front of this man. At the same time, her skin had gotten thicker and thicker.
Su Wan wiped away the oil stain on the corners of her mouth and started to giggle while eating her rice noodles. Not long after that, all the rice noodles were swallowed into her stomach.
Su Wan widened her eyes and stared at the untouched beef in Jiang Xuecheng’s bowl as she drooled.
“Don’t you know how to request when you wish to eat?”
Jiang Xuecheng knew Su Wan was a meat lover. He took a glance at Su Wan helplessly and then transferred all the beef from his bowl into Su Wan’s.
“Does this make me seem as if I can eat a lot?” Su Wan touched her head.
Jiang Xuecheng raised his brows and with a calm voice, replied, “Indeed.”
When she heard this, she poked a piece of beef with her chopstick and suddenly lost her appetite.
There was a sense of teasing in the bottom of Jiang Xuecheng’s eyes. “Don’t worry, eat all you can. I said I’ll still feed you even if you’re a hundred kilograms. I’ll keep my promise.”
The minute the man’s deep voice entered her ear, her eyes lit up. She had almost forgotten this promise of his!
That’s right. She had even thought if she were to really gain weight and reach a hundred kilograms, she would use her weight to press him down if he did not keep his words…
Su Wan was touched. She pursed her lips and smile. Then, she glutted herself with the beef.
However, after just a few mouthfuls, Su Wan choked when she was drinking the spicy soup as she was thinking of something.
“Cough, cough, cough…”
Su Wan kept coughing. She had taken a lot of chili just now and now coupled with her cough, her whole face was flushed red.
Jiang Xuecheng saw what had happened and gave Su Wan a cup of plain water. Then, he walked toward Su Wan to soothe her breath while patting her back.
Su Wan took the water and drank a few mouthfuls. Her throat was finally not that painful.
Jiang Xuecheng saw tears appearing in Su Wan’s eyes after choking. His heart ached but at the same time, he found it funny. “No one is fighting with you, why are you eating so quickly?”
Su Wan was embarrassed. She couldn’t tell him she was thinking of his promise and choked because she was not paying attention while eating, could she?
It would be very embarrassing if she were to tell him!
Su Wan recollected herself and looked at Jiang Xuecheng. Her eyes were still teary and she murmured, “I don’t wish to.”
I don’t wish to keep embarrassing myself in front of you…
Jiang Xuecheng looked at her red eyes and couldn’t help pinching her pretty face. “If you don’t wish to, then eat properly, don’t choke again. I sometimes question your IQ.”
Jiang Xuecheng’s voice was serious but his gestures showed his doting towards her. The customers in the shop and the boss couldn’t help looking at the two of them.
A handsome man and a pretty lady eating together was a feast for the eyes.
However, both of them looked familiar. Could they be celebrities?
However, celebrities would not come to small shops like this…
Su Wan saw people looking at them and felt bashful. She quickly blinked at Jiang Xuecheng.
“Everyone is watching. Quick, take your hands off me.”
Jiang Xuecheng’s cold eyes swept across the shop. The people were sighing at Jiang Xuecheng’s aura but at the same time felt it was impolite to peep at others. So, they turned around and dared not look further.
“Nobody is looking now.”
Jiang Xuecheng turned around and smiled lowly.
Su Wan saw his handsome face so close to her and spaced out.
Just at the moment Su Wan spaced out, Jiang Xuecheng squinted and pinched Su Wan’s cheek again.
When Su Wan regained her senses, she knocked his hand off and rebuked, “Enough.”
Jiang Xuecheng smiled looking at her. To him, pinching Su Wan’s cheeks was addictive!
