Chapter 171: Lin Fei’er is Awake
When Jiang Xuecheng saw Su Wan more relaxed, he smiled slightly and lowered his head as he planted a light kiss on Su Wan’s cheek.
Su Wan felt a little unnatural and she dodged backward a little. “Don’t fool around, I just woke up and have not washed my face yet.”
Seeing Su Wan’s shy look, there was a faint smile in Jiang Xuecheng’s eyes.
“It’s okay.”
Just when his voice died down, he tugged at Su Wan’s shoulders with one hand while his other hand caressed her cheek. Then, he kissed Su Wan deeply.
Su Wan’s eyes widened slightly. Looking at the magnified handsome face in front of her, her original nervousness disappeared and deep amazement crept into her.
Every time she looked at Jiang Xuecheng, especially when she met his dark and deep eyes, she would unconsciously wonder how could such a good-looking man exist in this world.
Being gazed at by Jiang Xuecheng’s gentle eyes, the rhythm of Su Wan’s heart beat couldn’t help speeding up.
Su Wan’s face was slightly hot. The minute he loosened his hand, she dashed out of the room immediately.
“I’m going to wash my face and brush my teeth.”
In front of a loved one, girls would always wish to present their best. Su Wan had just woke up and even though Jiang Xuecheng said he didn’t mind, she still felt uncomfortable.
Taking Su Wan’s poor appetite into consideration, Jiang Xuecheng cooked pumpkin millet congee this morning in hopes it would increase her appetite.
After both of them took their breakfast, they went to the office together.
At about time they were off work, Su Wan received a call from Lin Fei’er’s mother. Aunty Lin said Lin Fei’er was awake!
She had awoken so quickly!
Su Wan was delighted beyond expectation. After she had managed her work, she went to the supermarket to get some fresh fruits and nutriments. Then, she got onto Ah Si’s car to Zhao Hua Hospital.
Su Wan held the fruits and the nutriments and went directly to the lift that led to Lin Fei’er’s intensive care unit.
The moment she came out of the lift, she saw a delicate and weak figure. She was wearing a white dress and her eyes were like a spring. She was holding something in her hands too.
Yang Xiaobing was here too…
All of a sudden, the flame of fury arose in Su Wan’s heart. She narrowed her eyes and a dim light flashed through her eyes.
Mr. and Mrs. Lin would definitely not inform this girl about Fei’er. So, it meant Li Peng was the one who had informed Yang Xiaobing that Lin Fei’er was awake.
Did Li Peng think Lin Fei’er was not miserable enough?
Su Wan pursed her lips and walked toward Yang Xiaobing quickly. “What are you doing here?”
Yang Xiaobing heard a cold voice from behind and her face changed. She turned around and saw Su Wan’s indifferent face. She couldn’t help taking a step backward.
She knew Su Wan was Lin Fei’er’s best friend and understood why she was angry.
Yang Xiaobing darted Su Wan a glance and weakly held up the gift in her hands. “I…I heard from Brother Peng that Sis Fei’er is awake. I’m here to apologize to Sis Fei’er…”
She wanted to apologize after clinging obstinately to Li Peng for so long?
Who would have believed that? She was more likely to create more trouble!
“You’re not welcome here.”
Su Wan shot her a cold look. Then, she walked passed her toward the front in big steps.
Looking at Su Wan’s back, Yang Xiaobing’s watery eyes moved and a sense of violence beyond her age flashed through her eyes.
Yang Xiaobing bit her lips and told herself she must learn how to endure.
It didn’t matter. Now that Li Peng’s mother accepted her and kept complaining about Lin Fei’er beside her ears, she believed she could replace Lin Fei’er in no time.
She was the only person bearing Li Peng’s child currently. How could Lin Fei’er be her match?
After a turning, Su Wan found Lin Fei’er’s intensive care unit. What surprised Su Wan was Li Peng’s presence outside the ward. He was holding a big bouquet of white lilies.
Su Wan looked at the man with a dull face and immediately understood Lin Fei’er might have been reluctant to see him when she woke up and had asked him to get out of the ward.
At that moment, Su Wan felt he deserved this treatment!
The sound of footsteps made Li Peng raise his head to look around. When he saw Su Wan who was holding fruits, he gaped, as if wanting to call out to Su Wan.
However, Su Wan darted him a glance in disdain and entered the ward.
Seeing the door of the ward closed, Li Peng gray eyes darkened and he had mixed feelings.
He was not sure when Lin Fei’er would be willing to see him.

When Su Wan entered, she saw Mrs. Lin sitting on the stool, passing a cup of warm water to Lin Fei’er.
Lin Fei’er was the first person to see Su Wan. She weakly tilted her face and a faint smile tugged at her lips.
“Wan, you’re here.”
Su Wan’s eyes moved. She quickly walked over and there was deep pity in her eyes. “Fei’er, are you alright?”
“Still okay.” Lin Fei’er widened her eyes and tilted her head as she said to her mother, “Mother, I wish to speak to Wan privately for a while. Can you please wait outside first?”
With heartache, Mrs. Lin caressed Lin Fei’er’s hair and nodded slightly.
Before she went out, Mrs. Lin winked at Su Wan from a place Lin Fei’er could not see, signaling to Su Wan to console her daughter and watch her words.
Su Wan thought Lin Fei’er would tell her something after Mrs. Lin left but there was a long silence.
Lin Fei’er did not say anything and Su Wan didn’t know what to say. It was as if all the words were pale like the color of the walls in the ward.
Su Wan looked at Lin Fei’er’s weak wrist which stuck out of the blanket and found that it was as pale as her face.
Su Wan’s heart ached as she held Lin Fei’er’s palm. The minute she touched her hand, she felt coldness from Lin Fei’er’s hands. She had lost the warmth a normal person should have.
Just then, Lin Fei’er, who was sitting quietly, spoke. Her long eyelashes fluttered and there was tears in her eyes.
“I know, my child is dead and in the future…ah, in the future I won’t have another.”
Su Wan was taken aback for a moment, unsure of how to console Lin Fei’er. After regaining her senses, she squeezed a flurried smile.
“The doctor said that although your uterus is injured, he can’t be a hundred percent sure that you can’t get pregnant in the future. Fei’er, don’t give up.”
Lin Fei’er’s long eyelashes drooped and a shadow was casted over the eyelids. “But the probability of getting pregnant is very low, isn’t it?”
Looking at Lin Fei’er in this state, Su Wan felt terrible.”Fei’er, I know you like children but you can’t think life is full of darkness just because of this. You’re still alive and there’s still a long way to go.”
Lin Fei’er stared blankly. There was still a long way to go?
She curved her lips slightly and showed a gloomy smile. “Wan, did you know that my parents advised me to accept Li Peng and his and Yang Xiaobing’s child?”
Su Wan’s heart tightened and asked quickly, “What’s your view on this, then?”
