Chapter 217: Play A Round Of Game
Derek pushed open the door of a room inside the KTV.
Inside, the lights flickered, and there were girls and boys sitting on the sofa.
They looked up at the girl beside Derek at the same time.
The girl was wearing a black hoodie with the hat on, almost covering her little face. Behind her scattered bangs, her eyes were deep and dark like a pool of stagnant water. She carried a school bag on her shoulder and there was something proud and aloof about her.
Someone whistled. “Woohoo! What a pretty girl!”
The person next to him patted him and lowered his voice. “She is Claire.”
The man’s face became stiff. “Damn!”
The name Claire was known to everyone in Lance Middle School. There were many strange rumors about her, and they didn’t know if they were true or false.
The boys were sizing up the girl.
They were full of curiosity about this girl.
Standing at the door, Claire keenly caught a familiar figure.
She tilted her head to look and ran into Phoebe’s surprised gaze.
Soon, Phoebe looked away, her face blue and purple under the light.
Derek noticed her strangeness and whispered to Claire. “Sorry, Claire, I didn’t invite her. But my good friend Joe is chasing the prettiest girl in Class Three, Becky.”
He pointed to a boy on the sofa and then pointed to a girl singing. “Look, it’s her. She and Phoebe are good friends and always hang out together. You know I hate Phoebe too!”
Claire sat down in the corner and leaned back lazily. The light was dazzling, and she narrowed her eyes slightly.
On the other side, the girls and boys were sitting together and having fun. Beautiful and smart, Phoebe and Becky were very popular in this small group.
Someone suddenly mentioned Little Darling Derek’s game live, and the boys started chatting about it.
“That person playing the second half was absolutely amazing. He won the losing game within just ten minutes.”
“In those ten minutes, he was on such a killing spree, which was so cool!”
“I heard that a hacker tried to hack Little Darling Derek’s account, but found nothing. It seems that Little Darling Derek’s background is not simple!”
Derek subconsciously looked at Claire, pursing his lips and chuckling secretly.
No one knew that the person who amazed them was Claire!
Phoebe and Becky didn’t know much about games, so they looked bored.
“Let’s play a round of game?” someone suggested.
“Okay!”
The boys took out their phones and completely forgot about the girls.
“Claire is with us!” Derek suddenly stood up and pointed to Claire in the corner.
Under the dim light, Claire’s eyes were gloomy, and she glanced at Derek coldly. “I can’t play games.”
Derek walked to the corner, grabbed Claire with one hand, and said childishly, “Come on, we both know you can play games. I hurt my hand. Play a round for me!”
The boys looked over. “Has she played ‘W2’?”
Derek blinked. “Uh… not much.”
“Then forget it. We don’t have time to save her.” The boys didn’t want to bring Claire along. After all, playing games with a girl was troublesome and boring.
At this moment, Claire raised her eyes slightly and stretched out her hand towards Derek, her voice lazy. “Give me your phone.”
Everyone was surprised, and Phoebe also cast a questioning look at Claire.
Derek suddenly became excited, hurriedly handed her his phone, and said, “Don’t be afraid. I will tutor you by the side.”
The boys sneered. “Little Overlord, what are you talking about? You suck like hell in online games.”
Derek was extremely annoyed.
These guys laughed at his game skills every day! This time, he must have Claire earn his face back!
