But right then, Sheyan, a seemingly dying prey, suddenly turned his head and looked straight into Elite Predator Veron’s eyes.
Right now, Veron’s entire body was transparent like a clear piece of glass that could not get any cleaner. The details on the tree barks behind him could be clearly seen from the front. And yet, Sheyan was staring at him with certainty!
Sheyan eyes were steady and calm.
Those were not the eyes of a prey at all.
Those were eyes that only a hunter would possess!
Despite the highly-advanced technology of the Predators which perfectly filtered away the rustling sound when Veron treaded on fallen leaves.
Despite the invisibility device which refracted light from his body, making him unable to be caught by the eyes of others.
Despite Veron being a master in stealth.
Sheyan’s Perceptive Sense clearly captured the sight of the fallen leaves sinking down and shattering not far away, although he could hear no sound.
Veron attributes were definitely higher than Sheyan’s, but his biggest weakness, or more precisely, the biggest weakness of the Predator race as a whole, was that they were too reliant on high-tech means to detect the enemies!
This directly led to their generally low Perceptive Sense. In other words, in aspects other than detectors, the Predators may be stronger than Sheyan. Veron was sure that this weak prey in front of him would not dare. He thought that even if the man avoided the shot, he would still be hurt by the indirect damage at such a close distance. Since he was already seriously injured, it would only make his condition worse.
If he chose not to dodge, the fight would basically be over.
So when Veron saw Sheyan dashing straight towards him, his pupils contracted sharply. Through the solid crystal glass on his mask, he saw the red figure depicting the enemy’s body intersect with the red high-energy plasma bolt!

Before Veron had any time to react, he had already felt a mass of fervent heat closing in on him with great eagerness. After he was hit with a fierce blow, his body was paralysed! He was unable to move his limbs, as if they had fallen asleep!
At that moment, the scorched enemy pulled out a majestic weapon, aimed calmly, and pulled the trigger. The weapon exuded an ancient loneliness which reminded Veron of the dignified bearing of the Queen.
After a light flashed from the weapon, Veron felt as if he had been washed all over by countless tiny shockwaves that were as dense as falling rain. There was no spot on his body which did not feel the pain. It felt as if countless cracks had appeared in the armour which protected his body, and a burning needle was inserted into each crack!
However, although the pain was overwhelming, his paralysed body showed no signs of recovering. Next, the prey strode closer and pulled out a dark saber from his back. The saber seemed very ordinary. The only notable thing about it was the sharp glint of its edge which glowed like the coldest stars in the depths of the universe, deeply imprinting itself in the hearts of all who laid eyes upon it.

Although the warm emerald blood of the Predator smelled slightly fishy, it had a certain sweetness to it.

Five terrifying figures lined up in a row. The mere sight of them was enough to make the opponents lose hope!
The emerald blood of Veron splattered across Sheyan’s face. His powerful armour did not turn out to be very useful!
Sheyan hacked into Veron two more times. The cruel light of the saber flashed past, taking with it a large amount of emerald blood which spilled onto the trees nearby and flowed down stickily like mercury. After the two slashes, Veron finally regained control of his body, but it was already too late to recover.
Sheyan already held the upper hand in this fight. He could already catch a glimpse of the victory ahead!
In but a few seconds, the position of Elite Predator Veron had turned from hunter to prey. Anyone would find themself slightly disoriented from such a sudden change. His blood-red eyes were filled with anger and defiance, but Sheyan would not give him time to get used to his new role. He hacked down on Veron one more time.
Veron pulled out the tiger-tooth dagger on his waist. Because his left shoulder had been seriously wounded by Sheyan, he held the dagger with boths hands to parry Sheyan’s attack.
Although the dagger accurately met the blade of the ordinary looking long saber, a large force transmitted over from his hands. He staggered back unsteadily, his mouth spewing more blood. Veron knew by now that he was at a disadvantage in every way. He started to have thoughts of retreating.
But at that moment, as if Sheyan knew what he was thinking, a curse-mix was thrown to the ground, stunning Veron in place. Sheyan flashed like a shadow and raised his long saber high, then chopped down ferociously….

Eight Predators came here with Veron.
This was the most basic battle unit of the Predators. Eight Predators formed a squad. Among them, one was not a combat specialist, but this member shouldered great responsibilities. The support Predator shook his head. “I don’t know what happened. My chest tightened for a moment, but I’m all right now.”
“I don’t know why, but I keep getting the feeling that something’s wrong. Lord Veron should’ve been back with the prey’s head by now,” said one of the Predators.
“His prey sure was fast in running away. If it were me, I might not have caught up,” said the other Predator, “But didn’t Rasnock’s prey have it worse? It’ll probably take at least two days to piece his skull back together. You have busy times ahead, Zill.”
Zill was obviously the support personnel. He was about to reply when he suddenly wrinkled his brows and held his chest again. A few dark green drops seeped through the cracks in his mask! The blood of the Predators was emerald green in colour, but Zilll’s blood had turned a polluted dark green!
This time, it took Zill five or six seconds to recover. After he did, he said in a hurry, “I feel terrible. There was a fire burning inside my chest, like something had pierced through it, but it’s back to normal now. You have to perform a scan on me.”
The other two used their masks to scan Zill. One of them told him, “There are some abnormal shadows in your chest. It seems that your tissues are growing repeatedly. There are no other abnormalities.”
Zilll reached out and dipped his finger in the blood spilling from the side of his mask, then frowned.
“Damn it, it looks as if my body has rotted.”

But Zill suddenly pointed to the distance and exclaimed, “Look! Is that Lord Veron?”
