Ling Fei had just heard Ling Huang say that Lu Xuan would definitely be here today. She never expected that in the blink of an eye, she would actually see him right here.

“Am I special?” Lu Xian said with a laugh. “They just want to be your suitors, that’s why they need to uphold an especially good image in front of you. I don’t need to!”
“You don’t want to be my suitor?”
Without thinking, Lin Miaoyi asked him this question, but as the words left her mouth, she realized her mistake, as the question was a bit too dubious.
“Everybody has an eye for beauty. However, if I really liked you, I would make you chase after me!” Lu Xuan answered with a serious look.
However, this amused Lin Miaoyi to the point that she had a giggling fit as she quivered with laughter like she had heard a particularly funny joke.
“Me? Chase you? You’re confident in yourself!” Lin Miaoyi laughed. “Still, what are you doing here?”
Lu Xuan shot Lin Miaoyi a look, saying, “You’re probably trying to imply that even though I’m not qualified to attend this banquet, I’ve somehow appeared here tonight, aren’t you!”
Lin Miaoyi was about to deny it, but then she realized that the man before her, Lu Xuan, was extremely strong psychologically. He did not need her consolation, so she simply nodded.
“I’m here because Song Shijie invited me, and he gave me a very special invitation!” Lu Xuan said impassively.
