“Do you need any assistance from us?” the Dragon took a look at Lu Xuan and asked.
“No need for that. The one who did it was probably a Celestial, and you guys won’t be able to do much,” Lu Xuan replied.
The Dragon shut up right there and then.
There was no way he would not have known that the Special Task Force was able to do little about battles fought between beings of such level.
Count Dracula alone had thrown the entire organization into a mess single-handedly, and things would have still been the same with another of such a level.
The only thing that bothered him was not knowing who that particular Celestial was. That Celestial actually dared to make a move against a family member of Lu Xuan, who was the talk of the whole wide world at the moment.
Lu Xuan was not the only one who was furious at the moment, as the Dragon shared the same sentiment as well. Everyone knew that Lu Xuan was the head consultant of the Special Task Force. He was someone who was deemed the chief’s equal.
That meant that Lu Xuan’s family members were under the Special Task Force’s special protection.
As such, making a move against Lu Xuan’s family was seen to be a slight against the Special Task Force.
Lu Xuan performed a hand seal and was able to roughly sense his father’s whereabouts. Every single notable figure in the Yunxuan Villa had a mark that he placed on them in secret so that he would be able to track them down in dire moments.
However, he was unable to continue probing before his senses were cut off almost immediately; it was as if something was actively interfering with his effort.
Lu Xuan’s expression had gotten even uglier by then.
A message came to his phone before long; it was from an unknown sender.
“Dear Sir Lu Xuan, please come to X point at Wuyi Mountain at noon the day after tomorrow. Bring the Dark Bible in exchange for your father. Show up alone, or your father’s safety will no longer be guaranteed.”
Lu Xuan found the message to still sound rather polite, yet every line was filled with threats.
He only breathed a sigh of relief then. Regardless of what happened, he knew that the abductor had specific goals, which meant that his father was safe for the time being.
He deemed that everything was okay so long as his father remained safe.
“Alright. Very good indeed. You really are some *sshole who doesn’t know your place. I don’t care who’s behind you. I swear I’ll make you people pay with your blood.”
Lu Xuan smirked.
The Dragon read the message, feeling rather shocked that it was all done to get the Dark Bible.
The Special Task Force had some thoughts regarding the Dark Bible as well, but given that Lu Xuan had no intention of handing it over, they thought it pointless to say anything. They knew all too well about not being able to force Lu Xuan into doing what they wanted.

Lu Xuan made his decision to leave the Special Task Force and return to the villa right there and then.

“No worries. I’ll get dad home. Those people are only after the Dark Bible. Dad will be fine.”

Both Lu Shanshan and Lu Guoguo were worried, but they were relieved, seeing how easygoing their big brother remained.

Lu Xuan came to the spot designated as the meeting place at Wuyi Mountain in a matter of hours.
Trees were everywhere, but that part of the woods was the only region that felt incredibly stifling. There were utterly no signs of life found. There was not even a single chirp or buzz from birds and bugs.
It was as if all of those animals were so scared of some ferocious beast in there that none dared to even come near.
“Well, here I am. Come out already. There is no point in hiding any longer, isn’t it?” Lu Xuan said right away.
“You are indeed perceptive, Mr. Lu.”
A figure was seen walking out of the shadows, and that figure sounded pleasant.
