Chapter 257: Slaughtering the Elite Guards

The golden dragon howled. Even the vampires were able to tell just how life-like the scales that clad all over that construct of a golden dragon were.
All of them were stunned for quite a bit by how impossibly real the construct looked, but all of them knew how impeccable Lu Xuan’s control of Spiritual Qi had to be in order to conjure a golden dragon that looked so life-like.
None of them would have been able to reach such a level with their conjurations, even if their lives depended on it. Even Lilith found her jaw gaping at what was in front of her eyes.
She had lived a very, very long life, so the number of top-notch fighters that she met was more than she was able to count, yet none that she had ever met before was comparable to Lu Xuan. He was bursting with golden light all over, looking like a god among mortals.

He blasted the attack right at the vampires who just clustered together, with massive explosions going off, almost immediately like grenades detonating.

Many of the vampires spat up blood as they retreated, severely injured by the shockwaves right there and then.
They were all indeed severely injured by just the shockwaves alone.
The dozen or so who were unfortunate enough to take the blast in their faces died on the spot from the blast.
The attack killed them outright.
Vampires had lifeforce far above that of common humans, and vampires at the Celestial Realm were undoubtedly far more resilient than common humans at the Celestial Realm. Attacks that could prove lethal to common Celestial Realm humans might still be something Celestial Realm vampires could survive.
So long as their cores did not get shattered, vampires were capable of regenerating on the spot.
Even the vampires believed themselves to be so.
However, Lu Xuan told them right there and then through that one frightening punch of his, that those thoughts were pointless, for none of them would be able to survive such absolute, overwhelming odds in a fight.
“Gosh, they’re all trash. Are you really thinking that those good-for-nothing chumps could really kill me?” Lu Xuan smirked as he hovered midair with his arms crossed, looking like some true god.
What he did even make the vampires feel that it was Lu Xuan who got them all surrounded single-handedly, instead of them laying a deadly trap to ensnare him in the first place.
He alone was able to take on one whole army. That was what the aura bursting throughout his being suggested that he was capable of.
He alone was more than enough to put those vampires in their places.
Lilith looked extremely grim while she stood behind those vampires. She never thought that Lu Xuan would be so terrifying.
It was all terror and nothing else that she saw in her mind when she saw Lu Xuan made his move.
However, she threw all hesitation out of the window. Having got herself cornered to such an extent, she knew that she had nowhere else to run. It was either her or Lu Xuan that had to die on that day.
Lilith chanted an extremely ancient curse, and the entire pool of blood boiled within mere moments. Huge hands burst from within the pool right away, with every single one of them being tens of meters tall, reaching from the pool straight at Lu Xuan, who remained midair.
“All of you, get him! If he’s alive, it’ll be us who’d end up dead today!”
A terrifying burst of sonic shockwaves spread all over the place as Lilith roared.
Those vampires seemed to have heard the most terrifying of demonic voices right there and then. They launched themselves at Lu Xuan in a frenzy.
Countless hands lashed out at him in an instant. A harrowing scene took place. The hands that emerged from the pool of blood grabbed him, and he disappeared from midair.
“Get down here!” Lilith shouted, pulling him from midair right away as she did.
She had no idea what enabled Lu Xuan to stay airborne, which she found to make no sense.
Conventionally speaking, Celestial Realm beings were incapable of flight, unless the beings in question were those like the vampires, who had wings behind their backs. Unless the being in question had access to such natural means of flight, they would not have been able to stay airborne otherwise.
However, she quickly realized that Lu Xuan did not actually budge at all. She was unable to pull him down from where he was.
She continued to chant the ancient words, controlling those bloody hands as she tried to crush him, yet it felt like a common human grabbing a piece of rock to her—she had no way of crushing the rock that was Lu Xuan.
That was how helpless she felt.
It did not take long for her to realize in shock, that Lu Xuan continued to burst with boundless Spiritual Qi while the bloody hands were clamping down on him.

Those bloody hands were then shredded right away. Everyone present saw the Spiritual Qi surrounding him being transformed into a golden dragon, cladding him within tightly.
The bloody hands exploded, raining down blood all over the place.
“Golden Dragon Claws!” Lu Xuan roared at that moment as he punched, which materialized into a golden dragon claw, looking as if it was the golden dragon that he clad himself in, attacked.
It was one simple attack, yet that attack managed to blast every single vampire before him into pieces.
One could imagine just resilient vampires at the Celestial Realm were, yet they were nonetheless utterly helpless before Lu Xuan.
That one very simple attack was all that it took to blast all of them into pieces.
One could then imagine just how terrifying Lu Xuan was in such a state of being.
Lu Xuan’s comprehension of the way of the fists was to such a degree that even a single unassuming punch brought forth power that differed by orders of magnitude. It was incomparable to common man, making such an attack to be a monstrosity on its own.
Furthermore, that set of techniques that Lu Xuan practiced were of unparalleled power, to begin with, with even a single unassuming punch packing frightening power.
At that moment, boundless bloody energy which carried the power of the curse, emerging from the pool of blood, lashing out with thick resentment and hate at Lu Xuan in the form of raining arrows, making it impossible for Lu Xuan to even dodge.
However, he remained entirely unfazed still. He disappeared from where he was in an instant, before appearing right before a vampire and launching his Golden Dragon Claw attack yet again, blasting yet another vampire to pieces on the spot.
But then again, the vampires seemed to have all been agitated by something else. All of them launched straight at Lu Xuan without care.
None of them feared death as they threw themselves at him.
Lu Xuan did not hesitate when he saw the vampires charging at him, attacking right away. It took only several minutes for him to take out all the remaining vampires at Celestial Realm, leaving none behind.
Lilith’s eyes were thrown wide open as she stood below. Her eyes were very bloodshot.
The hundred or so vampires were the culmination of the empire’s essence for ages.
They were elite guards whose power was second to none other than the three elders of the empire.
Any single being from the group of elite guards was more than capable of stunning any major cultivation force out there at the moment. It would only take a few of them to even annihilate a small nation.
They were the cornerstone that sustained the Vampiric Empire’s existence, and none would have thought that they would all be killed in such a short period of time.
