Chapter 279: An Audience
Any who had seen those images and information regarding what the Guimen Sect did would definitely come to hate them for it.
There was even a wave of mass panic seen on the internet.
Common folks had no edge whatsoever to speak of when dealing with the cultivators. One could even say that common folks were treated more or less like meat on the chopping board in such situations.

Lu Xuan flashed a smile.
The rabbit, which was watching all of that from the side, felt speechless, deeming that Lu Tianxiang probably having no idea just how notorious his son actually was. Lu Xuan was nothing short of a monster.
Lu Xuan was so terrible that even a monster king like the rabbit, had to behave as meekly as a kitten before him, and that had nothing to do with the rabbit being a nice creature.
It was just that it feared the thought of being bullied.

The thought of it all almost brought the rabbit to tears.

A petite figure went up and launched herself onto Lu Xuan.

Lu Xuan patted his sister’s head and put her down.

Lu Xuan smiled. The force that his youngest sister brought about earlier was comparable to that of a boar charging.
If he were to be a common folk, he would have most probably been knocked over.

No one knew of Cain’s whereabouts at the moment.
The Dragon paid Lu Xuan a visit personally at the villa on that day.
“It’s been a while, Chief Dragon. Looking great as always.”
Lu Xuan said as he looked at the Dragon.
The Dragon paused for a bit and continued, “Well, I wouldn’t have shown up without a good reason. I’m here at Yunxuan Villa today because I have something to discuss with you, Mr. Lu.
“Please,” Lu Xuan told him to continue.
“The First Minister would like to meet you.”
The Dragon fired away.
“The First Minister?” Lu Xuan was feeling rather surprised. He had no doubt knew who said First Minister actually was—the man who was in charge of the entire nation, as suggested by his title.
Back in the feudal era, the First Minister would have been something like an emperor. In modern times, that man was one of the few most influential people found in the whole world.
Even at present, where spirit qi was already restored to the world, he was still nonetheless one of the few people with the most authority and deemed the most powerful in the nation.
He was someone who stood at the absolute pinnacle in Huaxia.
Lu Xuan did not anticipate that someone like the First Minister would have wanted to meet him.

That was why he came to meet Lu Xuan in the night.
“So, when is it gonna be? Would I need to head to the capital then?” Lu Xuan asked.
“Yes, and as soon as possible.”
The Dragon continued after a brief pause.
“I’d head out right away then.”
Lu Xuan stretched for a bit and said.
There was already a helicopter waiting when Lu Xuan got off the mountain, which headed straight for the airport. They then traveled to the Imperial Capital from that airport in Fu City.
Lu Xuan came to meet the First Minister face to face several hours later.
The First Minister was in his middle age yet appeared to be very young, and it was obvious that he too, was a cultivator.
But then again, it was rather obvious. With spirit qi being restored to the world for so long, the First Minister, as the head of state, would have definitely been able to gain access to a huge amount of cultivation information and resources.
It was only natural that he was a cultivator as well.
He was at the sixth level at the moment.
That meant that he had powers equal to that of a Martial Arts Legend.

“Your reputation precedes you, Mr. Lu. Please have a seat.”
The First Minister gestured and then sat on the couch, sitting across Lu Xuan.
The man felt amicable, yet had an air that commanded respect nonetheless.
“Greetings indeed, First Minister. I’m Lu Xuan, some dude of nowhere.”
Lu Xuan cupped his hands and said.
“I’m sure that you find it peculiar as to why I request such an audience with you all of a sudden, Mr. Lu,” the First Minister chuckled and continued.
“Yes, I’m indeed curious.”
Lu Xuan nodded and said.
“Well, allow me to be forthcoming then.” The First Minister put up a serious face and continued, “I’m sure that you heard of how bad the state of affairs is as of late, especially when it concerns the cultivators.”
Lu Xuan nodded and said, “I do indeed.”
