Chapter 375: Lu Xuan Finally Showed
The burst of flames engulfed several cultivators, charring over a dozen of them on the spot.
That young man with a monkey-like face conjured a staff afterward. With a flash of the staff, all of the human fighters who came at him were instantly sent flying hundreds of meters away. All of them were incapacitated on the spot, feeling as if every single bone in their bodies had been shattered by just one swing of the staff.
It was as if even the most resilient bar of metal would have been pulverized by that staff attack.
With that, a terrifying slaughter immediately ensued.
That black-robed young man instantly roared without care, “Teach them a lesson, let them know how terrifying we are. Make them learn to fear even the sight of us!”
All three of them shortly went on to thin the number of human cultivators. Even though there were three of them, they were nonetheless more than enough to render the human cultivators utterly helpless.
There was simply no stopping the handful of demons from taking the treasure from that small island.
Many of the human cultivators weren’t even given a chance to do anything at all. While there were also Divine Treasure Realm cultivators in their midst, they completely paled in comparison with the demons.
The demons were all fighting under one banner, yet the humans were simply fighting for their own respective factions.
None of the humans proved themselves to be capable enough of truly stopping the three on that day.
Suddenly, someone else descended from the sky, moving like a hurricane before instantly appearing in front of the woman in a fiery red dress.
Clang!
A deafening rumble was heard as both parties clashed. The woman in a fiery red dress had to take several steps back before she was finally able to steady herself.
Pfftt!
The woman spat blood out from her mouth as she backed away. She then looked at the human who just clashed with her; it was a young woman in her late teens. The human girl was none other than Lu Shanshan, who came as soon as possible after receiving the news.
The woman in the fiery red dress widened her eyes as she said, “You again? You just don’t know when to give up, do you?”
With a black longsword in her hand, Lu Shanshan said, “You managed to sneak up on me and run when I did you a good one. Now, I’m getting my revenge for that swing you took at me back then. I believe in fairness; you swung once at me, so I’ll be taking one swing at you today in return. After that, I’ll call us even if you were able to withstand the attack.”
Flames burst out the hand of that woman in the fiery red dress before being conjured into a flaming longsword.
Boom!
Both of them clashed yet again; a clash between Divine Treasure Realm beings had finally erupted.
However, that woman in the fiery red dress quickly spewed blood from her mouth as soon as the battle began.
She had been seriously injured by Lu Shanshan before she began to fight the human girl, worsening the injury she suffered before.
Despite clashing only once, she was hit so severely that she spewed blood all the same.
“Let’s go!”
That black-robed young man’s eyes were rendered bloodshot as soon as he saw that woman in the fiery red dress was injured. He left the fight he was currently in and swung his blade in Lu Shanshan’s direction instead.
Clang!
A flash of the blade tens of meters in length was sent at Lu Shanshan right away.
Lu Shanshan turned around and blocked the incoming attack.
Metallic clangs were heard on the spot. The black-robed young man immediately knew why his companion had been at a disadvantage.
That terrifying force of recoil was enough to numb his arms. That had never happened before, not even when he was fighting that old Lama in the grasslands back then.
That old Lama was of a very high cultivation level, yet his physical constitution was hardly considered powerful due to his advanced age and deteriorating aura.
A person’s aura and lifeforce deteriorated with age. That was the law of nature; no one was able to do anything to stop it.
It was due to the power of the old Lama’s unbelievably pure Buddhist methods that he managed to injure that black-robed young man.
Even so, things were different when fighting against Lu Shanshan. The sword stroke from her was so powerful that the recoil from blocking her attack alone was able to make his arms numb.
The black-robed young man shouted, “Take care of her first. Forget about all the other humans, take care of her first!”
At his command, the monkey-faced man instantly brought his staff down on Lu Shanshan before all three of them ganged up on Lu Shanshan at once.
All four Divine Treasure Realm fighters fought a great battle in midair right there and then.
At first, the other human cultivators felt rather lucky that Lu Shanshan’s sudden appearance blocked off the three demons for them.
However, they quickly learned that the battle fought between four Divine Treasure Realm cultivators was not something they wanted to stay around for at all; they were easily caught in the crossfire in more ways than one.
The aftershock from the battle alone was more than enough to deal quite a bit of damage on all of them, with no possible way of even getting close.
They also quickly found that even someone as powerful as Lu Shanshan quickly found herself being restrained when having to fight the three demons at once.
Many gasped in surprise. Lu Shanshan was considered a newly emerged top-notch fighter. That battle with that woman in the fiery red dress allowed her to begin rising to fame, letting everyone else know that extremely formidable people other than Lu Xuan were also at the Yunxuan Villa.
All the other cultivation forces would easily be considered supreme ones having just one Divine Treasure Realm cultivator acting as the leader. What made Yunxuan Villa a cut above the rest was that multiple cultivators were taking on a leadership role.
After being ganged up on by three Divine Treasure Realm beings, Lu Shanshan was quickly caught at a disadvantage in battle.
There were three other demons doing something further away, but no one knew what it was. With two of them being confirmed to be Divine Treasure Realm beings, the remaining one’s unknown level of power was enough to prove that he was probably the leader of the six.
If they were to join the fight as well, Lu Shanshan would probably in even bigger trouble than she was already in.
Suddenly, a deafening rumble of air being sliced through rang out. Someone was seen approaching the scene at unbelievably high speeds.
The man quickly showed up above that island in mere moments.
Everyone on the island was overjoyed to see the man who just showed up.
“It’s Lu Xuan!”
“Mr. Lu!”
“Mr. Lu is here!”
Everyone yelled and cheered in joy, with some feeling as if they were on the verge of tears. Regardless of what they previously thought about Lu Xuan, they all nonetheless felt like they just saw their savior when the man appeared.
The demons were pummeling all of the human cultivators nearby, rendering many of them dead. It felt incredibly vexing. Due to the laws of the world limiting their progress, however, they were unable to grow as powerful as Lu Xuan or anyone on his level.
Upon noticing her brother approaching as well, Lu Shanshan brought a sword aura attack that was tens of meters in length. She distanced herself from the attacks from those three before going to her brother’s side.
“Brother, what are you doing here?” Lu Shanshan asked in surprise and joy.
To her, Lu Xuan could not have picked a better time to show up. She had no problem taking on any one of those three, but having all three gang up on her was too stressful for her to deal with.
Lu Xuan patted his sister’s head and replied, “Had I never shown up, you would really be in some serious trouble. Since when did you become bold enough to deal with demons all on your own?”
Lu Shanshan rubbed her nose a little and said in a rather embarrassed manner, “Well, she was the one who sneaked up on me and took a swing at me. I refuse to just sit around until I settle the score! On a more serious note though… why are you here, brother?”
