The woman did not manage to do much other than struggle in place for a bit before spitting blood and dying shortly afterward.
She had already taken serious injuries from Lu Shanshan before, so there was simply no way she could have withstood such a terrifying attack.
It was only then the woman in fiery red dress revealed her true form—a huge sparrow the size of a grown human. Her form was entirely crimson, making her a demon who had awakened fire-related powers. That meant that she was in the process of becoming a fiery bird demon.
That was the main difference between demons and humans. The final form of humans remained as they were. The final forms of demons gradually resembled those of their ancestors, as time passed and their bloodline became more refined.
The idea behind ‘the koi leaping through the dragon gate’ was one of the most typical and the most well-known example of such a phenomenon. Once the fish leaped through the dragon gate, the fish would be transformed into a dragon.
However, what shocked the crowd even further was Lu Xuan’s fearsome brute strength.
There was no extra power being imbued into the staff. The feat of nailing that woman in fiery red dress onto the ground seemed effortless; it was done through sheer speed and force alone.
Lu Xuan managed to do so using only his sheer, terrifying physical power.
Many fell into despair, as a being of such inherent unreal strength was absolutely unbeatable.
It was just like how the case of someone who was inherently short and frail training in martial arts for decades, facing against someone who was inherently huge and strong. The latter needed only to learn the most basic of fighting techniques to easily beat one such a small martial arts master.
That was just how utterly unreasonable and unfair things were.
That was the main difference between one individual with another, yet there was no reasoning behind why that is.

“During times of peace, Lu Xuan’s level of powers was definitely alarming to us humans. With the demons now throwing their weight about, however, someone without equal like that among the humans would be able to take care of the crisis. We truly are so utterly blessed by the heavens!”
“Exasperated, a cultivator from the west commented, “I just can’t imagine how he managed to train to reach such a level. Is this just the true power of the eastern cultivation systems?” It was true that the rate at which western cultivators gain power during the early stages far surpassed that of their eastern counterparts.

“How could this be? How could the monkey not be able to even slow him down?” That king of eagles asked in immense astonishment. While he hadn’t been around that monkey for long, he nonetheless knew that the monkey was definitely not someone to be trifled with.
Having been enlightened by some high-ranking, knowledgeable monk at a young age, the monkey went on to listen to lectures from the Shaolin Temple from the back of the mountain. All of that experience at a young age established a firm foundation when spirit qi was restored to the planet.
To be honest, that monkey was considered to be immensely powerful even among the six of them, so much so that he could be considered to be among the top three.
However, they all saw from their respective peripheral vision just how easily Lu Xuan killed the monkey.
That terrifying scene alone almost caused their hearts to leap out of their chests in fright.
Lu Xuan was picking up speed, breaking the sound barrier and seeming to catch up to them almost instantaneously.
The dragon king then stood up and said, “Eagle king, you and the young master should leave with the Tree of Enlightenment. I’ll stay around and stop him. You’re fast, so maybe you could still escape.”
The eagle king never anticipated that the dragon king, who hardly spoke to him or agreed with him, would volunteer to take on the monster.
The eagle king knew what the dragon king meant. In terms of fighting prowess, the eagle king could not compare with that of the dragon king. Even so, he was still fast; it was due to his speed that he stood a chance to escape with the Tree of Enlightenment.
Lu Xuan was just too insanely powerful after all.
“Let’s go!”
That man clad in white instantly said with a cold expression, looking as if he did not care about anything that the dragon king said before.
The Tree of Enlightenment, which was about the size of a human hand, continued to emanate five shimmering lights of different colors in his hand.
That man clad in white used a kind of rune to shrink the tree to such pocket sizes. Without it, they simply would have had no way to carry the tree with them.
“Right.”
The eagle king then transformed into a huge eagle, whom the man clad in white climbed onto. The eagle king then flapped his wings and made his way to the seas, fleeing from the island.
Using telepathy, Lu Shanshan told Lu Xuan, “Brother, don’t let them get away!”
While she had no idea what Lu Xuan and the demons were fighting over or what that Tree of Enlightenment actually was, she nonetheless knew instinctively that it was something of extreme importance. It was something that could definitely never be taken away by the demons; letting them do so would lead to inevitable doom for the humans.
“Relax, no one is getting away.”
Lu Xuan chased them with an unfazed expression, but the dragon king quickly stood in his way.
Lu Xuan simply said, “Leave now. I have no interest in killing you, so you might just be able to leave this place alive.”
In response, the dragon king flashed an exasperated grin on his face.
