Chapter 436: Emerging out of Isolation at the Peak of the Sixth Tier of Divine Treasure Realm
The submarines from all nations were so utterly useless against that old dragon that the sea monsters were enough to pose as a lethal threat to the underwater crafts.

Compared to the number of submarines that they had, there were 10000 times as many sea monsters roaming the oceans.
With the restoration of spirit qi becoming more pronounced, the number of sea monsters would only continue to grow over time until they eventually took over the seas all across the world.
The only way that humanity could even begin to compete with the sea monsters within the seas was to have all of humanity become cultivators.

That was because the governments’ assessments were fully accurate. The Myriad Demon Valley used the advantages they had after taking the continent of Australia for themselves. By using countless sea monsters, they proceeded to stand against the Human Alliance government based on the remaining continents. Both sides fought hard and long battles for years.
Every now and then, that old dragon was detected by both the submarines from various nations as well as cultivators in the seas. However, the old dragon never minded their presence.
Those submarines were utterly helpless before that old dragon, after all.
Because that old dragon was able to move at extremely high speeds even when underwater, it could appear right before the submarines anytime it wanted. On the other hand, the submarines were utterly incapable of keeping up with the old dragon due to their meager speeds.
The Huaxian submarines were made faster by the Divine Speed Charms provided by Lu Xuan, which enabled the crafts to move far faster than most kinds of sea monsters. Even then, their submarines were still incapable of keeping up with that old dragon.
The submarines were easily torn by just a single swipe from the old dragon. Even if the crafts were to use nuclear torpedoes against it, they would still have had a hard time doing much damage to a beast that was capable of zipping in and out as it pleased.
Things were made worse by the fact that nuclear detonation underwater was more than enough to tear apart the submarines themselves. If the crafts did not position themselves far enough from the explosions, the shockwaves alone would have been enough for them to break into pieces.
None of the nations were able to come up with good ways of taking on that old dragon. While nuclear munitions would no doubt pose a threat to the old dragon, the nations all had their own ways of dealing with it.
Even so, that old dragon was so difficult to track and pursue that they would not be able to do more than catching a glimpse of it.
Then again, the nations could still learn a thing or two after having spent so much time looking into the situation. That old dragon was recuperating and looking for some mutated herbs on the ocean floor.
The land was not the only place where such treasures of the world would be found. In reality, such treasures would have been found within the deep seas that took up most of the planet’s surface.
Furthermore, there were far more treasures found in the sea than on land. This was because humans have not developed any means of reaping them in massive volumes.
There were actually mountains and rivers found undersea, which glittered as those places were boosted by spirit qi.
Many human cultivators were willing to take the risk and venture into the seas to look for such treasures. While they might have suffered huge losses, the rewards would have also been just as huge.
The nations all wanted to stop the dragon from taking action, yet they were unable to do anything. The best way to take on cultivators was to field cultivators, after all.
It was especially so given the extent of injuries that the old dragon had suffered. That itself would have granted an opportunity like no other, yet no one could do anything other than watch it grow increasingly powerful over time.
As for the Huaxians, the Dragon and everyone else was rendered silent once they got the news. There was simply nothing they could do when facing such a terrifying creature.
Their only hope was none other than Lu Xuan.
The only thing they could do was to wait for him to come out from isolation.

As he looked at the blue skies and the white clouds, he felt as if ages have passed since he began training.
He often felt that way when he was training back in his past life; he would often shut himself in for decades to even a century on end. That was still considered normal.
However, he felt like ages had passed even though he shut himself in for only days. This was because his powers had grown exponentially within a few days.
Only he knew just how frighteningly far his level had grown in the span of those few days.
He had become even more terrifying and powerful.
He became so strong that he could sense the world pressing down on him no matter what he did. The pressure from the world’s shackles was unmistakable. There was simply no way for him to make further progress.
As he currently was, he had actually surpassed the level that the world usually allowed beings to reach.
That meant he was at the peak of the sixth tier of the Divine Treasure Realm.
With his current level of cultivation at such a state and the means he had at his disposal, he could fight even those at the seventh tier of Divine Treasure Realm with no fear.
As he currently was, he had truly become powerful enough to fight that old dragon.
However, he did not seek out that old dragon right away. That beast had been roaming all over the world looking for mystical medicines to heal itself and boost its powers. It was only a matter of time before the beast came to him.

He was about to craft something capable of taking on that old dragon. The Dragonslayer he wielded would not have been enough to take on that beast.
That sword was but a low-tier power item, which meant that it would be very strenuous for him to take on the old dragon despite his level of powers.
That dragon was nonetheless extremely physically resilient despite having his level suppressed.
That old dragon’s power would have far surpassed anyone else at the same level. If it were Dragon and some others instead of someone as unnervingly terrifying as Lu Xuan, none of them would have been able to take on that old dragon. Even if those people were at the same level as that old dragon, they would be no match for it unless they were able to gang up on it.
That old dragon was simply too powerful, which was attributed to more than just its bloodline as a dragon; it had remained very powerful all along, so doing damage to it was no easy feat.
Even the likes of Lu Xuan had to reforge his Dragonslayer just so he could get the job done.
“The Dragonslayer… I never thought that I would actually need the sword for slaying a dragon.”
As he finished speaking, a flame burst in his hand. The sword then began to melt into a puddle of liquid metal under the flames.
