Chapter 452: The Monstrous Lu Clan
That was why he did not think much of Lu Shanshan in the first place, even though everyone knew that the latent powers of the Yunxuan Villa were formidable and backed by the Heavenly Palace.
If Lu Xuan were to still be around, it would not have been the Heavenly Palace backing the Yunxuan Villa, but the other way around with Lu Xuan at the top of the pyramid.
His personal power was so formidable that he alone could be the super backing of any organization out there.
The fact was compounded by the fact that Lu Xuan had fostered a great number of formidable fighters back in the day, and such people were found in forces all over the Region of Huaxia. Many of them were high-ranking members of their respective forces.
There were also quite a number of them taking up positions in the Congress of the Human Alliance.
All of those people were indebted to Lu Xuan. As such, the influence that all of Yunxuan Villa had on others was beyond imagination.
However, that was only in regard to direct influence. Discussions on the matter would’ve never ended if even indirect influences were taken into account. This was because there were rumors saying that the prototype of the basic cultivation methods propagated among the people came from Lu Xuan himself.
Countless civilians looked up to and even worshipped Lu Xuan.
The runic weapons that the Region of Huaxia wielded also came from Lu Xuan. That fact alone spoke volumes of his influence on the military forces.
The trade alliances that Yang Chengsi commanded under the name of the Yunxuan Villa had trillions of yuan worth of resources. With its influence on the entire world, such figures were based off of only incomplete estimations.
All of those facts served as testaments of the extremely fearsome power that the Yunxuan Villa, an organization that had been oddly laying low as of late, commanded.
The Yunxuan Villa was like some ferocious beast lurking deep in the mountains. The mere sight of part of its body was enough to make several people think twice before doing anything rash.
The foundations that Lu Xuan had been laying for many years finally flourished in the present. Even without Lu Xuan around, such power was more than enough to protect the Yunxuan Villa like nothing that had ever been seen before.
For years, nobody dared to cause trouble with the Yunxuan Villa until that man showed up.
It was obvious that he wouldn’t have come alone, given that he dared to even appear in the first place. Yunxuan Villa was like a beast lurking in the dark. Even if he was a congressman of the Congress of the Human Alliance, they would’ve had no problems dealing with him.
That man relied too heavily on the support of an extremely huge organization: the Region of America itself. They even had support from parts of the Region of Europe.
It took several years for the Region of America to unify their opinions and come to a consensus: have the Yunxuan Villa hand over Lu Xuan’s cultivation heritage.
Many formidable fighters emerged under Lu Xuan’s nurturing of cultivation, so much so that only two types of cultivators could be found in Huaxia: the ones that were fostered by Lu Xuan’s line, and then the ones who were not.
That man deemed that the truly terrifying one was the Yunxuan Villa and the monstrous power that they possessed. He thought almost nothing of the family members of Lu Xuan like Lu Shanshan.
He believed they were using Lu Xuan’s status to make them seem better than everyone else.
He believed that as long as the forces that backed him were able to amass enough power to stand against the Yunxuan Villa, the Lu Clan would no longer be worthy of anyone’s attention.
That was what he initially thought when he came to Yunxuan Villa, thinking that they would most likely submit as long as they knew who was behind him.
However, he did not expect things to go this way. He finally realized how wrong he had been the whole time.
While the Yunxuan Villa was founded with Lu Xuan at its core, that didn’t mean that Lu Xuan was the only formidable one in his family.
Lu Shanshan, the newly appointed leader of the family, was hardly seen doing anything noteworthy for the past several years before him. In reality, she was far more powerful than she actually looked. She was even more powerful than Lu Xuan, who was one of the most powerful beings in all of the Region of America.
It took only one strike to severely injure him.
The man couldn’t sense fluctuations of Spiritual Aether within her. He didn’t even sense anything suggesting that her powers were passed by her family. That one simple strike seemed to have broken his ribs.
Now, the man was forced to endure intense pain just to even breathe.
Lu Shanshan rose from where she sat, slowly walked to that man, and stepped on his broken ribs.
“What am I doing?” Lu Shanshan chuckled and continued, “What about you? Are you trying to pressure me as a representative of the Human Alliance? Were you ever even human in the first place?”
Lu Shanshan pushed her foot harder into his chest, causing that man to immediately shriek in pain. With a high-pitched howl, two pairs of fangs emerged from that man’s mouth.
That man was never a human after all; he was a vampire.
A murderous intent flashed in Lu Shanshan’s eyes. Even after everything that her brother had done for humanity’s sake, he was nowhere to be seen. Even then, people still dared to bully her family in the name of the Human Alliance.
She figured that something like this would inevitably happen.
That vampire before her eyes was but a scout, a pawn which they used for testing her attitude.
She knew that she definitely could not afford to show any sign of weakness. If she did, those people would have pounced on her family like hungry wolves, destroying all of Yunxuan Villa.
Lu Shanshan loudly explained, “While my brother was still around, he hated rats like you who always lurked in the shadows. During that time, you people have always remained hidden in the dark, dank corners of the world. You would’ve never dared to stand against my brother while you were trembling in fear. Now that he is no longer here, you people dare to target what he left behind. It seems like you guys truly want to die.”
Roar!
That man howled as he struggled. He tried to get up on his feet but to no avail; he was unable to get up at all.
Lu Shanshan stepped on his chest with the force equal to that of mountains, securely pinning that vampire on the ground.
She was so unbelievably powerful that even though vampires were far stronger than regular humans, she was so unbelievably strong that her physique was far above that of regular humans at her level. This was because of her born Taoism aptitude.
“Lu Shanshan, Lu Xuan is now dead. Are you planning to stand against humanity? If you do, then everyone from the Yunxuan Villa would die!”
That vampire continued to howl, trying to intimidate Lu Shanshan.
“My brother isn’t dead!” Lu Shanshan was furious as she continued, “By the way, it’s not like you could bully the Yunxuan Villa just because he’s not here. Did you seriously think that my brother’s deeds are the only thing that kept Yunxuan Villa safe these past few years? How naïve!” With a single swing of her sword, Lu Shanshan had then cut off the vampire’s head.
Even up until the vampire’s death, he never expected Lu Shanshan to seriously dare to kill him.
He was supported by the Region of America and part of the Region of Europe. Just about nobody dared to ignore people like that.
“You’re telling me that the Region of America is filled with beings like you? Gosh, this is as absurd just like the Human Alliance.” Lu Shanshan couldn’t help but laugh at the name ‘Human Alliance’.
However, she knew that several forces outside of the Region of Huaxia were against them.
Such forces included the Vampiric Empire in the Region of America and the werewolves from the Region of Russia.
Those beings were formidable. Unlike the demons, their existence was intertwined with human society; they were nowhere near powerful enough to form their own societies like demons could.
Several years ago, those beings joined the Human Alliance after negotiation. That allowed them to enjoy being of equal status as humans.
Ding Zhuxuan then came in and took care of that vampire’s dead body.
“Send his head back to his people as a warning. Anyone who dares to do anything stupid against the Yunxuan Villa will be cut down without hesitation,” Lu Shanshan then said.
