Chapter 455: I Shall Submit to You, My King
Any of those powerful monsters would have been a menace that could wreak massive havoc in the outside world, but all of them were pinned to the ground by Lu Xuan without breaking a sweat. Lu Xuan pinned all of them to the ground with ease.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Rumbles from the clashes were heard as the ground shook slightly. One by one, all of those massive monsters were clapped to the ground by the massive hands.
Their massive heads were pinned down to the ground. No matter how much they struggled, they had no way of breaking free.
The hands felt like some spike from the heavens. Every monster was under a hand measuring up to 100 meters, which made them look like skyscrapers instead. The scene was nothing but shocking.
Massive hands clapped down before him as he continued walking.
The monsters had no way of breaking themselves free from the hands at all.
Lu Xuan was simply too powerful compared to the monsters.
He was at the seventh tier of Divine Treasure Realm. While such a level of powers was nothing much when compared to that old dragon back at its peak level, it still allowed Lu Xuan to throw his weight all over the place.
Roar! Roar! Roar!
As the beasts roared and howled in rage, the area shook around them. Even Lu Xuan’s clothes were billowing with their howls.
There was an obvious difference in power between him and the monsters.
They were unable to do anything against Lu Xuan, not even able to be of the slightest threat to him. Incapable of doing anything to Lu Xuan, the monsters weren’t a threat to him at all.
It did not take much effort for him to walk out of that old path inhabited by countless monsters. The scene before him completely changed. Several others appeared before him, and all of them glowered at him with hostile eyes.
Every single one of them looked human. Since no common human would ever be seen in the Myriad Demon Valley, there was no doubt that these were true demons.
He couldn’t help but be impressed by the massive size of the Myriad Demon Valley’s forces. While normal humans had killed scores for the past several years, Lu Xuan alone killed many of them on his own.
Even after all of that, many demons remained.
It was obvious that the Myriad Demon Valley had gathered countless demons throughout the ages.
Many of those demons glowered at Lu Xuan with red eyes. They obviously knew that he was the one who killed their master.
Lu Xuan had killed the creature who was once the true master of the Myriad Demon Valley.
At some point, many of them were mere animals. When the old dragon somehow lifted their spirits, however, they were made to serve him as demons.
Demons were much more simpleminded than humans; they would usually know about showing gratitude as well.
Lu Xuan said, “You lot are different from those animals back there. I’d even go so far as to say that you have all gained some level of intelligence. As such, I shall deal with you people using standards befitting intelligent beings.”
“Now that the old dragon is dead, I’ll be the one commanding all of the Myriad Demon Valley from here on out. Thus, I shall give you all a choice: Will you stand by me as your new master, or will you go against me?”
While many of them hated Lu Xuan, all of the demons still possessed some level of intelligence. All intelligent beings were capable of having complex thoughts, and demons who had just awakened their intellectual capacity were no exception.
Many of the demons turned to look at each other.
One demon with a tall and muscular build immediately roared out in fury, “You damned human! You killed both the young master and the old master, and now you’re telling us to submit to you? We refuse!”
After the demon finished speaking, it began to charge straight at Lu Xuan.
A massive elephant leg fell from the sky, stomping down on Lu Xuan right away.
Lu Xuan then erected his index and middle finger before closing them together, emitting a beam of sword light.
Pfftt!
With a shriek, the elephant leg descending upon Lu Xuan was immediately destroyed.
Lu Xuan had ripped that muscular demon to pieces with a blast of sword light.
Only then was its true form revealed. That creature was an elephant with thick hair all over it that seemed somewhat ancient. It resembled something that had once existed in ancient times: a wooly mammoth.
That wooly mammoth had probably developed atavistic traits due to the influence of spirit qi around.
It was true that ancient wooly mammoths were far larger than contemporary elephants
Under the influence of spirit qi, several living beings looked ancient as their bloodlines were metamorphosizing.
That elephant demon’s death did not manage to intimidate those demons. In response, a dozen others continued to charge at Lu Xuan right away. Because their levels were all at least of the Divine Treasure Realm, every single demon was considered the best in the outside world.
Those demons could have become a force that could’ve easily obliterated a smaller nation.
However, none of them could do anything against Lu Xuan.
Shoop! Shoop! Shoop!
Blasts of sword light emerged from his fingers towards the demons charging at him. Those simple unassuming blasts of sword light from Lu Xuan’s hands brought about unimaginable levels of frightening power.
Any demon who attempted to close in on Lu Xuan was shredded by the blasts of sword light where they stood.
All of this had happened within an incredibly short amount of time.
The place was soon filled with dead bodies, the ground covered in blood. The demons who were killed revealed their true forms of massive beasts that were obviously out of the ordinary.
After every demon charging towards Lu Xuan had perished, more than 30 demons still looked at one another.
They all began to wonder what they should do. Some among them thought of attacking, but Lu Xuan was simply too fast.
He moved at such a frightening speed that he ended their lives before the demons could even react.
Lu Xuan then looked at the rest of them and said, “Time for the rest of you to make your choice: either submit to me or die.”
Lu Xuan maintained his piercing gaze on each and every one of them.
All of the demons immediately broke out in a cold sweat as if they were being targeted by something insanely terrifying.
“I shall submit to you, my lord!”
A tall, lanky young demon was the first to kneel before Lu Xuan.
Ao Chen taught the demons that they were the superior race. Since it hadn’t been the case for long, however, that fact was still something they needed to fully digest.
Deep down, all of them still deferred to the laws of the wild, where the strong prey on the weak.
The stronger being was considered to be superior above the rest.
There was no doubt that they did not choose to submit to Ao Chen back solely as thanks for awakening their intellectual capacities. Ao Chen’s overwhelming power was still what primarily led to their submission. The dragon still had ways to control them, despite it was still in a sealed state. Although the dragon was sealed away, it still had ways of controlling them.
Currently, Lu Xuan was the strongest being present. Thus, it was completely normal for them to choose to submit.
Furthermore, the so-called race of demons was but a concept and even a slogan that was invented to unite the non-humans to stand against the humans.
After all, it was absurd to even think that foxes, dragons, elephants, and monkeys belonged to the same race.
Those demons thought it was completely normal for them to submit to a human.
Lu Xuan knew that some of them didn’t truly submit to him. Some of them might’ve even had their own agendas, plotting against Lu Xuan in the future.
However, he didn’t see it as much of an issue. All of that could be avoided so long as they sign the master-slave contract. Even if they were 10 times more powerful than before, the contract would render them inert.
