Chapter 559: Kicking Down the Gate
Lu Xuan’s powers were at such a level that even if he had not deliberately tried to remain hidden, everyone would’ve simply overlooked him as long as he just stood in the crowd.
Anyone who happened to see him would naturally look elsewhere right away.
It was an incredible feat for the Heretic to be able to just detect Lu Xuan.
That one feat was enough to say just how much more powerful he was compared to the others around him.
At that moment, many people began asking amongst themselves; “Who’s this guy?”
Many of them realized that they did not recognize Lu Xuan at all upon taking a good look at him.
Everyone was shocked to find that they had no idea who he was.
The handful of disciples of the Taichu Path were enraged, their faces having turned red. The sting in their gaze was unmistakable.
The Heretic was known throughout the entire place as one of the most powerful among the younger generations, so much so that he could’ve been considered to be one of the most powerful in the Blessed Enclave.
He was considered to be almost the most powerful without even taking the old monsters at Divine Transformation Realm into consideration.
They had no way of stopping him.
That one attack that took place moments ago was good enough evidence of that.
Even if they couldn’t stop them, the higher-ups would not have blamed them for any of it.
Even, that unknown man was about to kick down the door just like the Heretic just.
“You must have a death wish then!”
One disciple of the Taichu Path looked as if he was about to burst from anger. Unable to tolerate it anymore, he immediately performed a seal. The formation was activated and another terrifying blast of sword aura was seen yet again.
The blast came down on Lu Xuan.
The Heretic simply looked on without doing anything, seemingly trying to assess if Lu Xuan had what it took to enter the mountain with him.
Lu Xuan flashed a faint grin and shouted, “Pathetic tricks.”
The crowd watched as that blast of sword aura then dispersed without a trace.
The attack did not manage to even touch Lu Xuan.
Lu Xuan then pointed a finger, sending a blast of sword aura flying. That disciple of the Taichu Path who had just attacked him was immediately ripped to shreds.
That man was killed by one simple move from Lu Xuan before he was even able to react.
The place fell dead quiet.
No one had expected this unknown man dressed in white, who kept his hands to himself, to have been so decisive with his attack.
He wasn’t just decisive; he was also unnervingly powerful.
While a disciple of the Taichu Path at the Divine Treasure Realm was not particularly powerful, he was also far from weak. He would not have been given the role of receptionist if he was a weakling in the first place.
Since the receptionists had to deal with troublesome issues, they were usually selected among the elites in the sect.
Even so, that elite disciple of the Taichu Path was unable to even lay a finger on Lu Xuan. He was easily shredded by just a single blast of sword aura.
The impact left on the crowd by that attack was greater than what the Heretic displayed, as the Heretic’s incredible powers had been a widely acknowledged fact. The crowd was even more astonished by that attack than what the Heretic displayed.
While everyone knew about the Heretic’s incredible powers, Lu Xuan remained an enigma.
Nobody in the crowd knew just what kind of person that young man was.
What they did know was that this young man was bold enough to barge in uninvited alongside the Heretic. While the place was not the current site of the sect, many powerful people were still around due to the Taichu Meeting being held there.
Based on Lu Xuan’s actions, everyone then knew what it meant to be bold when someone was capable.
The power that Lu Xuan displayed was deemed every bit on par with that displayed by the Heretic moments ago.
They even believed that Lu Xuan might actually be more powerful than the Heretic.
None of the remaining disciples from the Taichu Path dared to stop Lu Xuan anymore. They did not even dare to stand where they were, fearing that Lu Xuan would attack them next.
The Heretic chuckled and commented, “Marvelous show of power indeed, sir.”
Lu Xuan replied, “How did you know that I would get inside with you?”
The Heretic grinned and answered, “The answer is simple. If you weren’t Yan Han’s enemy or adversary, your powers would have placed you among the man’s guest list. Since you’re not Yan Han’s guest and you’re not revealing your identity, you’d then be most likely here to seek revenge.”
“Guess we’re on the same side then. I indeed have scores to settle with Yan Han.”
Lu Xuan was slightly surprised. The Heretic’s explanation was simple, and his logic made sense.
Even so, it was still hard to determine all of that within such a short amount of time.
The Heretic had no idea who Lu Xuan was either, but it seemed to him that Lu Xuan was an enemy of his enemy. Thus, that meant he was a friend.
He did not bother stopping what the disciple of the Taichu Path was trying to do against Lu Xuan as well. If Lu Xuan was unable to fend off such an intense attack, then the Heretic would’ve never deemed him worthy of being an ally.
Then again, Lu Xuan clearly knew what the Heretic was up to. He passed the Heretic’s test with flying colors.
Lu Xuan smiled and asked, “Let’s head inside, shall we?”
He was seen lifting his hand right away afterward. The aura in him gushed like a torrent and engulfed his surroundings.
As his Dragonslayer sword was unsheathed, dark clouds began to gather in the sky above.
A lightning dragon was vaguely seen in the clouds. It seemed to have been materialized in a second, its massive body swimming around in the clouds.
Just then, that dragon blitzed and charged straight towards the barrier of the Taichu Path’s gate.
Boom!
The lightning dragon blasted on the barrier right away, causing it to shake violently.
Meanwhile, countless beams of sword aura immediately gathered in the barrier before being blasted towards the lightning dragon.
However, the lightning dragon was not destroyed by the blasts of sword aura. It had instead burst with a terrifying aura that tore the barrier in half.
Boom!
The dragon then dispersed without a trace midair after tearing down the barrier.
Everyone was stunned by how unbelievably flashy and violent Lu Xuan’s attack was, summoning a lightning dragon with just a single move that immediately tore down the barrier at the gate of the Taichu Path.
“Who goes there?”
“What insolence!”
“How dare you?”
Those who were participating in the grand event inside were all immediately alerted by the massive commotion.
Terrifying auras spontaneously burst, shrouding the entire place altogether.
The terrifying auras burst like floodlights being lit up in the dark of night, making them stand out.
“That’s an awful lot of formidable ones in there.”
Many were unable to help but gasped at the sight. Many people knew that anyone allowed to participate in the meeting had to at least be a representative of some sect or clan. This was why there was a staggering number of formidable fighters attending the meeting. Even then, the sight of two to three hundred beams shrouded the entire place with an eerily powerful aura. It was a frightening sight to behold.
The number of fighters and their auras were simply too frightening. Each of them would have been able to envelop the entire mountain on their own. At the moment, many of them unleashed their own auras at the same time.
It felt as if Armageddon was washing up right in their faces.
