The Medicine Man was relieved to find that Lu Xuan didn’t reject his offer right away. He knew very well that if Lu Xuan were to refuse his request, there wasn’t much else he could do to hold Lu Xuan down.
The Medicine Man then explained, “I’m actually not from the Holy Sun Continent. I was a foreigner who had accidentally fallen into the continent because of a space-time fissure.”
The Medicine Man was actually from another world; he had only fallen to the Holy Sun Continent because of an accident involving a space-time fissure.
While his level of powers was not considered all that exceptional from the world he came from, he was still considered powerful on the Holy Sun Continent.
At the peak of his powers when he was alive, his level was somewhere comparable to the ninth tier of the Divine Transformation Realm. With such an exceptional level of powers and his expertise in medicine, he managed to quickly make quite a name for himself on the Holy Sun Continent.
He then met the leader of one of the most powerful sacred grounds of cultivation of his time: the leader of the Divine Blood Church.
Under the invitation of the Divine Blood Church’s leader, he died upon entering the church.
The Medicine Man gritted his teeth as he explained, “I trusted him and shared my secrets with him; I thought of him as my best friend. Even after all of that, he plotted against my life hoping to gain my heritage, and he wanted to kill me.” He was on his own when he first came to the Holy Sun Continent, yet the leader of the Divine Blood Church took him in. That was why the Medicine Man had thought of him as his best friend.
Despite that, he was tricked by the Divine Blood Church, who killed his original self in an ambush. He managed to barely escape with his life, but he quickly died in the process.
Throughout the years, he left only a sliver of his will behind and opened up the realm at times. This allowed him to select a worthy successor to exact his revenge for him.
However, he believed that none of those Great Ancestors were up to the task; he saw them as little more than pigs herded in a pen.
The situation lasted until Lu Xuan appeared. From there, he was unable to wait any longer. A sliver of one’s will could’ve only lasted for so long because it would’ve only been awakened when the secret realm was opened. Otherwise, he would have faded out of existence a long time ago.
Despite so, that sliver of his will was already at his limit. He no longer had the chance to wait for the next worthy one. That was why right now, he was relying on luck.

“I know that such a request would be difficult.” The Medicine Man continued, “I know such a request would be hard to fulfill, but I could help you control the entire secret realm. As long as you have the secret key on you, you could then gain free access to anywhere in the realm. That was how my original body managed to avoid being killed by the Divine Blood Church.”
The Medicine Man continued, “Even if you were to be able to loot the entire secret realm clean of its wealth on your own, that still wouldn’t be as valuable as the secret realm itself. I’m sure that you could figure out the value of being able to come and leave the secret realm as you please. Without my help, the secret realm would close again before long, never to open again. I would no longer have any remaining energy to open it up even just one more time.”
Lu Xuan narrowed his eyes. He knew without a doubt that the Medicine Man was trying to bait him with the entire secret realm to help fulfill his wish.
It was as the Medicine Man put it: without his help, it would’ve taken much more time to gain control of the secret realm. By then, the entire realm would’ve probably closed itself again before being cast into the turbulence of space.
The entire secret realm held vast wealth; there were many texts, records, and medicines found within this secret realm. Treasures there were piled like mountains, yet all of that still paled in value when compared to the secret realm itself.
Upon seeing that Lu Xuan was now intrigued, the Medicine Man said, “I guess I could also tell you that I’m not the one who created this secret realm. I just happened to stumble upon it by chance. It was the fight to get my hands on the realm that I ended up falling through a spacetime fissure into the Holy Sun Continent. Based on what I’ve seen so far, this secret realm is of a very high grade. I’d say that it was at least crafted by someone beyond the Divine Transformation Realm. Training here would at least allow one’s powers to grow by 30 percent.”
Lu Xuan’s pupils were slightly contracted. A 30 percent growth in terms of rate of training was something formidable, after all.
Being able to train 30 percent faster than normal would’ve made a massive difference in the long run.
