Chapter 787: The entire Continent in a Commotion
After seeing how Feng Qingming’s head got blown to pieces, one fighter at the Divine Transformation Realm muttered, “That monster… is he dead?”
It was only then that he realized that his back was completely drenched after he had broken out into a cold sweat.
He had never thought that he would see the day where he would witness a battle so harrowing that his back would be drenched in cold sweat. Even though the fighter at the Divine Transformation Realm wasn’t directly involved in this battle, he still knew that it would’ve determined the Holy Sun Continent’s fate.
On one side was the sacred one, whom those from the Holy Sun Continent would no doubt place their unconditional trust in. The sacred ancestor was no exception, due to their reputation throughout the ages.
On the other side was the big boss who had been lurking behind the scenes for countless years, orchestrating the deaths of countless fighters. One couldn’t even imagine how frightening the world would’ve been if he was in charge.
Soon, things had finally settled down. That devil who had been terrorizing the continent for ages was finally taken down.
Many breathed a sigh of relief at that moment, reeling from what could have happened. If things had taken the completely opposite turn, all of them would have ended dead right there and then.
Xuanyangzi muttered, “The sacred ancestor has watched over us! We’ve won! The sacred ones had saved the Holy Sun Continent once again!”
He wasn’t fond of surrendering his fate to those who were higher in power, but he still felt like thanking the heavens now. They had truly been unbelievably fortunate that Lu Xuan won this battle.
Lu Xuan, who was now hovering in the air, had no idea of what was going on in the heads of those below him. He rescinded his aura and canceled his ascended state. Being in such a state for so long came with a massive drain, after all.
Those few simple moves that he employed for killing Feng Qingming within seconds had already expended five million mid-tier spirit stones.

Xuanyangzi got to Lu Xuan’s side and bowed as he said, “Thank you for saving the Holy Sun Continent, Mr. Lu. I would like to offer my sincerest gratitude, on behalf of the billions of beings of the continent.”
Everyone below called out at once, “Thank you for saving the world, Mr. Lu!”
Lu Xuan replied, “You’re welcomed.”
Feng Qingming had made himself Lu Xuan’s archenemy from the fact that he had schemed against the sacred ones and was after their blood alone. He would have killed Feng Qingming anyway, regardless of what anyone thought about it.
Lu Xuan then said, “Oh, that’s right. I’d like you to head back and interrogate Xiang Tianfang and see how many members that organization of theirs still have lurking around. Feng Qingming may be dead now, but it would still be a problem if so many of them were still out there.”
While Feng Qingming was already dead, that mysterious organization had yet to be eradicated. All the remaining members were at the pinnacle of Divine Transformation Realm. Despite the fact that such a level of powers was utterly beneath Lu Xuan’s notice, they would have definitely acted against Haotian sooner or later, if they were to see be after the blood of the sacred ones.
They would only come back to wreak greater havoc in time.
Xuanyangzi then added, “You’re right, friend. Feng Qingming may be dead, but I won’t be able to rest easy as long as that organization is still at large.”

The news of Feng Qingming’s death spread like wildfire all over the world.
The entire continent was in a huge commotion. Nobody had expected everything to take place so quickly. The Immemorial Path was still hunting him down not long ago, now he was already dead.
Some in the crowd seemed to have taken videos of the fight, which then spread all over the place.
Everyone stopped arguing after seeing how that battle went down. The monstrous powers displayed by both parties almost made anyone who saw the footages doubt their authenticity.
“Gosh, this is frightening. Good thing that we have the sacred ones with us. I mean, who in the world would be able to fight that thing otherwise?”
“The Divine Blood Church is done for now. The Immemorial Path would rule over the entire place from here on out!”
“We’re seeing a whole new era in the making!”
Countless reveled at the news. More importantly, all the forces affiliated with the Divine Blood Church sent important figures to kneel before the central gate of the Immemorial Path, begging for their forgiveness.
However, having seen it all as the sectmaster of the Immemorial Path, Xuanyangzi knew that those people were anything but sincere. He wasn’t about to forgive them just because they went kneeling before his door.
He gave his orders to disband all affiliated forces of the Divine Blood Church. Anyone who dared to resist was killed with extreme prejudice.
Tension rose all over the world as said forces were eradicated. The fighters of the Immemorial Path were also everywhere hunting down remnants of the cult.
Nobody dared to stand in their way that time or even think that the cult had any chance of retaliating. The purge went very smoothly.
However, everyone knew that the purge would continue for decades or even centuries to come.
Many of the cult’s fighters escaped overseas and there was no way the Immemorial Path’s forces could locate all of them on such short notice.
The era where the Immemorial Path ruled over the world had finally arrived. With the Divine Blood Church eradicated, the last footing of the Blood Devil in the Holy Sun Continent was finally eradicated.
For a while, nobody dared to even try begging for mercy on the behalf of those from Divine Blood Church.
The old organization was quickly crushed and replaced by the new one.
Another month passed and the world gradually settled before being riled up yet again by yet another warrant from the Immemorial Path.
The names on that warrant consisted of only the best among the best to be found in the world. Every single name listed had been renowned throughout the world one time or another.
A handful of them were even sectmasters or grand elders of major sects and clans even in the present.
They were all at least at the ninth tier of Divine Transformation Realm.
There were even names of grand elders from the Immemorial Path in that list.
Everyone was baffled by that list and wondered what those of the Immemorial Path were up to.
The world grew more unsettled.
However, the sect quickly explained what was happening. The people on the list were fighters fostered by Feng Qingming in his bid to rule the world from the shadows; they were all members of a single mysterious organization.
That mysterious organization had been hunting down the sacred ones. They were natives of the continent itself.
The sect had announced that there was no chance of reconciliation between them and that organization. Anybody who dared to harbor those people would be seen as going against the Immemorial Path.
The fighters of the Immemorial Path began hunting down those on the list as soon as the warrant was released.
The fighters listed intended to run but quickly discovered that the Immemorial Path’s forces came prepared. Countless fighters were ready to get to work before the warrant was released.
They weren’t even given a chance to start running.
Given the powers that the Immemorial Path commanded, the ones from the sects and clans involved couldn’t even begin to resist. There were even elites from the Immemorial Path investigating the matters further within the bases of the forces involved.
Then again, there was still a handful who were perceptive enough to escape early. Fighters from the Immemorial Path were out to apprehend them.
Three years passed by the time the last person on the list was apprehended.
