Below the city, there was a small dragon’s vein that sustained the city’s supply of spirit qi ceaselessly to keep the city afloat in the sky.
For Lu Guoguo, this was her first time in Cloud City. Following behind Lu Xuan, she expressed her awe for how the city managed to sustain its levitation.
Although she may have been from technologically-advanced Earth, the sights and the engineering of the city were still eye-opening.
It was easy to understand the mechanisms behind how the city was able to float, yet to accomplish a similar feat was not easy. Only those who possessed top-notch skills in formation would be able to replicate this.
Despite the long history of Cloud City, it remained the only city to have this unique ability. The technicalities were not known even by strong forces like the XuanHuo Sect.
Technical skills and abilities were attained after much effort to specialize in them. Not everybody was similar to Lu Xuan in his capability to excel in many aspects.
“Let’s head in!”
Right after Lu Xuan said this, the Chaos Heaven Stabilizer Bell above his head shimmered.
Lu Xuan and Lu Guoguo disappeared from where they stood and were transported past the defense line of Cloud City.
The Tempest Alliance Meeting was held in a huge town centre that was filled to the brim with crowds. In every corner of the meeting one could bump into someone powerful. Everyone who was present was a master in their skills and abilities.
Only the Three Flower at One’s Prominence users had the seats to rest on, and the remaining individuals would have to stand. Regardless of their Divine Transformation Realm status, they had to remain standing as there was not enough space to sit.
Yet, there was no opposition from the crowds, they were aware that apart from the elders of the Three Flower realms, the four great masters of the Consolidation Realm were present. The four of them were the ultimate authorities of the Tempest Continent.
The four were not visible to the naked eye as they remain seated on their thrones high above the crowds, floating in midair.
Their silhouettes loomed in the sky, almost as if there was a mysterious power that concealed their prying eyes. All that could be seen were the four frightening outlines of the strongest beings: the current rulers of the world, who were also the pillars for the humans of the Tempest Ocean Realm.
It was because of their presence, that the humans of the Tempest Ocean Realm did not face a massacre similar to the humans of Earth. Though they were oppressed, they at least they had better fates than the humans who faced the partition of their planet.
At this moment too, there was a fight happening in a ring set up between the boundaries of realms. Two figures were engaged in a furious exchange.
“I cannot believe a native from Earth would be able to spar with Wen Shengjie, the head disciple of the XuanHuo Sect, for so long! That Lu Shanshan is strong!”
“My thoughts exactly! Wen Shengjie was trained with everything the XuanHuo Sect had and was rumored to be able to enter the Consolidation Realm too!”

Discussions erupted from the audience. The two figures on stage were clearly well-known individuals. One in particular, was the successor of the Holy Nuns Gate and XuanHuo Sect, one of the strongmen and leaders of the next generation.
“Don’t look down on humans from Earth! They may be natives but you cannot forget those who have fallen in their hands!”
“I heard this rumor from the XuanHuo Sect about a certain someone who has arrived at Tempest Continent. This Lu Shanshan is the sister of Lu Xuan!”
The words rang as a reminder through the crowd. During the previous conflict, there were many powerful users of the Three Flower Realm, including the beast kings from the Northern Demonic Sect that were eliminated by him, while the rest had been banished back to where they came from.
The presence of an individual from Earth who had the ability to eliminate even divine beings was no longer a secret. This was widespread throughout the continent, and the mere thought of this made them terribly anxious.
“He was just a big fish in a small pond. Now that the four masters are here it means that the Tempest Continent has control over Earth’s fate. Do you think these natives can still put up a resistance?”

Just then, there was a development in the fight on stage. Despite the initial stalemate, the tables had been turned.
A massive fire phoenix made from Spiritual Aether manifested from thin air and charged towards Lu Shanshan.

The audience went wild. Wen Shengjie’s performance now far surpassed what he showed in the stand-off that he had been caught in with Lu Shanshan.
The bluff was intentional. Given he had already mastered the Three Flower at One’s Prominence, he had an advantage over Lu Shanshan who had only just agglomerated the Auric Flower and the Essence Flower.
“What an intense plot. He decided to suppress his powers at the start only to reveal it all in the end. Judging from Lu Shanshan’s performance before this, she could only hold him off for a while or was neck and neck. But with this attack, Lu Shanshan does not stand a chance!”
