“Oh, what is this for? Hanhan already has more clothes than he could wear. You didn’t need to buy more for him. Quickly, go and return these,” said Wu Xiuyue, looking displeased.
In the future time, it was true that many had more clothes than they could wear. But nowadays, that’s difficult to say. If she remembered correctly, Zhang Chenghan was one of those who rotated always between 2 – 3 sets of clothes. She highly doubt he had more clothes than he could wear.

Shu Yan had no plans to go into her shop so she had some extra time. She decided against going anywhere but just stayed home with her children. It had been a long while since Shu Yan was able to take a nap in peace. She felt particularly good when she woke up and saw that both of her children were working on their homework. Shu Yan stretched.
“Don’t always be working on your homework. Sometimes you should have some fun too and get some exercise in.” Shu Yan lamented. Most other parents’ problems were having to force their children to work on their homework. Her kids were too responsible. They always work on their homework without being prompted. And they’d complete them above and beyond. After feeling prideful to herself, Shu Yan got up and got ready to grocery shop and prepare dinner.
After she had finished shopping for groceries, she spotted Feng Zeyu where it wasn’t as crowded. He had in his hand a black plastic bag. When he saw Shu Yan, he placed the bag on the ground, nodded at Shu Yan, and was about to turn and leave.
“Wait.” Shu Yan ran up to him without giving it too much thought. “I bought a bit too much for today. Let me give you a portion in a little while.”
“It’s alright. I have somewhere to be.” Feng Zeyu hesitated for a little bit before he made up his mind quickly. “I should be going. You don’t want to be seen with me.”
Shu Yan opened up her mouth and wanted to reassure him that it was alright. But then she remembered her two children. She didn’t care about scandals, but what about her children?
As she picked up the bag from the ground with the lunchbox inside, her heart felt heavy.
When Mother Zhang came home from work and saw Zhang Chenghan in his new clothes, she frowned and said, “Didn’t we just buy him new clothes? Why did you buy him more?”
And she wanted to buy a new house? At this rate, how much longer will that take?
Wu Xiuyue walked out with the dishes. “They are from Shu Yan. She said I’ve always been helping her in dropping off and picking up her children and insisted to give me these two sets of clothes for Hanhan. She was unhappy when I refused to accept them.”
