Even though Yingying’s parents had already accepted Li Guowei’s money but Yingying hasn’t married him just yet. As such, they had not yet broken the law. The cops, nevertheless, detained Yingying’s parents along with Li Guowei for 5 days as a warning.
When they walked out and saw the crying Yingying, Mother Yingying wanted to lung at her and hit her. “You unfamilial girl. How dare you called the cops on your own parents. Had I know, I never would have given birth to you.”

“No, no. Of course not. Her mother is just too emotional is all. “Watch yourself. Unless you want to be locked up also,” said the cop as he patted him on his head.
Yingying’s brother finally calmed down but the way he was looking at Yingying wasn’t particularly friendly.
Both of them were quiet on their way back. When Yingying had calmed down, Shu Yan said to her, “Your parents most likely still insist that they are in the right even now. They might lay low for a little bit for a little while but they will try things again over time. Do you want to move your household register out from under them?”
“Of course I want to. Problem is that I am not married nor do I own my own place. I will not be able to move my household register out from under them.” Not to mention that her mother had confiscated her identity card.
