It was almost 2 in the afternoon by the time they got back to City Nan. Zhang Huaxiu hurried out to help with the unloaded when she saw the car stopped in front of the shop. She couldn’t help but do a double take when she saw Feng Zeyu at the driver’s seat.
She didn’t know that her boss lady went with Feng Zeyu on this trip, and he was the driver at that. That meant the two of them went to City Han together the night before. She knew they were friends before but this obviously passed the friendship line. Even the slow Zhang Huaxiu had picked up on the clues. That being said, she was never one to yak. She kept what she saw in her heart. This was her boss lady’s personal business. She was such a mighty woman. For sure she would have already thought about this from all angles.
Shu Yan had no intention of keeping this from Zhang Huaxiu if she had Feng Zeyu dropped her off at the front of her shop. She had known Zhang Huaxiu for a long time now and knew she wasn’t one to gossip. Sure enough, all Zhang Huaxiu did was take a look and she neither looked again nor asked about it.
One of the two new salesgirls were an 18-year-old girl who just graduated high school. She had a very outgoing personality and a very sweet smile. The other salesgirl was already married and her baby had just switched off of her milk. Her body recovered nicely and her height was decent. She looked good in their clothes and had a nice temperament. Shu Yan much prefer someone with a better temperament and less scheming than one who was articulate but also tend to scheme.
Not being very articulate was fine. That could be worked on. Someone who tend to scheme, on the other hand, there was nothing one could do to change that.
The two saw Zhang Huaxiu walked out and knew to follow her out to help with bringing the stuff inside.
“No need to bring these into the storage. Let’s just inventory them and load them onto the shelf directly. The rest will be here tomorrow morning and I had them deliver them directly to the shop. Xiuxiu, you can just sign for the delivery when they arrive.” Having said that, Shu Yan lowered her head and said to Feng Zeyu. “I’ll be busy for a little while. You don’t need to drop me off home.”
“Okay. Give me a call if you need anything.” The corners of Feng Zeyu’s mouth lifted up a little. Shu Yan having him drop her off the front of the shop was already a good sign.
When Shu Yan had finished with organizing the clothes and was about to take off, Zhang Huaxiu quickly said to her, “Boss Lady, my sister-in-law found a location for her shop on Fujian Street. She would like to ask for your opinion on the location.”
They had already mentioned about having a shop on Fujian Street a year ago and already had Zhang Huaxiu checked with her at the time. Shu Yan didn’t know what to make of it. There were so many boutiques on the street, not to mention that they were going to be so far away. What could possibly be the problem? That being said, it was a nice gesture that they would check with Shu Yan first.
Wu Xiuyue had been looking for a storefront lately but it was no easy task. The good locations were either taken or too expensive. The ones that she could afford, she didn’t like their locations much. It was not easy to find a good location that has reasonable rent.
“Where on Fujian Street?”
“Close to the shopping mall. The original renter wanted to stop renting it due to some personal reasons. My sister-in-law thinks it looks nice and wanted to take it, but she wasn’t 100% sure. She’d like to have you go and take a look at it,” said Zhang Huaxiu, seemingly feeling somewhat awkward for asking.
Shu Yan nodded. “That’s not a problem. I will go take a look shortly.”
