When Feng Zeyu woke up the next morning and drummed himself on his head. Suddenly remember what he had said to Shu Yan the night before, he almost wanted to slap himself on his face. How much did he have to drink and to think that he had called up Shu Yan and rambled? No, wait, did Shu Yan said she will give him a chance?
His lips curved upward greatly. He needed to get some pointers on how to get himself a wife.
“Gifts, of course. When I was pursuing my wife, I gave her a pair of gold earrings and she accepted immediately.” A dark-skinned man leaned in and said to him.
Mao Weiping smacked him upside his head. “You think everyone is naïve like your wife who ‘d fall for just a pair of gold earrings? The one that Lao Feng was after is no ordinary woman. Have you heard of Xianxue?”
The men there scratched his head, then shook their heads.
Mao Weiping gave them a stare and said, “What about Yanxue Company upstairs. You have at least heard of that, right?”
“Oh, Yanxue I know. I’ve ran into their boss lady a few times. She drives a Bentley and was gorgeous-looking, and has good temperament. I heard that she came from a powerful background as well,” said a bespectacled man walked over with a cup of tea in his hand.
“Don’t tell me that she is the one that the boss is after.” The few office workers all knew about Yanxue and had run into Hu Ruixue before. She was gorgeous, undoubtedly, but also stuck up. There was no way she would date someone like them.
“No, it’s their other boss. The one that you had seen before was most likely Boss Hu. Yanxue’s other boss’s surname is Shu. The two of them formed Yanxue together. She was the one who came up with a lot of the activities and ideas for the company. A strong woman, indeed.” Mao Weiping had someone looked into her after he found out who was the woman that Feng Zeyu was fond of. He was shocked after he learned about Shu Yan.
She was from City Xi. The city was too far so he didn’t bother looking into it. But she probably divorced her husband after he had cheated on her, came over to City Nan with money and her two children, bought a house here, transferred her household register, and immediately started her clothing shop. Her business was fairly successful. In fact, so successful that her neighbor Le was envious of her. She had someone looked into Le and that was how her and Hu Ruixue met. The two who share a similar past became good friends and they’ve also made a lot of money with fall undergarments. Together, along with the Hu family’s network, they had commercials nationwide and had since become the number 1 undergarment brand in the nation. They are now a company whose net worth is over 100 million yuan.
As much as Mao Weiping thought that Feng Zeyu wasn’t half bad but Shu Yan still seemed to be a little bit out of his league.
So what she had two children. She was a millionaire. She could have any man that she wants.
All of Feng Zeyu’s buddies began to worry for him after they learned that the woman that he had his eyes set on was the other boss of Yanxue. Everybody in this building knew of Yanxue. It was the company who had gone from inception to over 100-milllion yuan worth in just 6 months.
Sure enough, he would not be able to move Yanxue’s boss with a pair of gold earrings.
“Never mind about one pair of gold earrings. She could afford 100 pairs herself.” The bespectacled man gave Feng Zeyu a look. To put it bluntly, she might even be richer than their boss.
“Now you get it? Money is not the way to go.” Mao Weiping patted Feng Zeyu on his shoulder. “Sorry, pal! I don’t know how to help with you this one!”
Feng Zeyu wanted to give him a switch kick. Never mind that they weren’t going to be of help, there were obviously just waiting to watch as drama unfolded.
“Maybe take her shopping? Women all like to shop. Just pay for whatever she wants and that will be that,” said Another man raised his hand.
Mao Weiping looked over at him and said nonchalantly. “She has her own boutique. Right on West City Nan Road. And the most popular one there at that. Do you think she is in need of clothes, purses, or shoes?”
“Okay, flowers then. Women like flowers, right? Besides, I don’t necessarily think that she needs anything expensive. The thought is what matters the most. If she likes you, she will be happy if you just give her a wild flower. If she doesn’t like you, you can put diamonds in front of her but they will be nothing but stones to her,” said the bespectacled man.
