“Ah, Big Sister, I almost thought you had lost my number. What took you so long to call me?”
Shu Yan hadn’t seen her again since the second time that they ran into each other. After that, Shu Yan had stopped running her shop and stopped going to City Han. Naturally, she would not run into her anymore.
When Shu Yan exchanged her number with the big sister, the big sister had mentioned that her shop was about to move to a new location and she didn’t have the phone installed yet. Shu Yan left her number with her and told the big sister to call her up if she ever needed any help. She wasn’t sure whether the big sister never needed any help or had completely forgotten about her. She had never given Shu Yan a call.
“I……” The big sister hesitated for a long while on her end before she said hesitantly, “Is there already enough Xianxue Undergarment shop in Province Wen?”
Province Wen was a second-tier city and their economy was quite developed. Back when they had opened up second-tier cities for franchising, those from Province Wen were among the first to sign up and there were quite a few of them.”
“I’m sorry. The allotment for that location is already full. Are you interested in franchising, Big Sister?”
Last time she saw the big sister, the big sister had mentioned that her landlord was demolishing the building and she had to move to a new location. The new location did not do as well as her old one. Shu Yan invited her to franchise back them but she had declined Shu Yan.
The big sister bit her lip in regret but she didn’t let that show in her tone. “Yeah, I didn’t know that your undergarment brand was so successful at the time. It was too late when I found out and someone had already opened one up next to me. I heard that you have a new women’s clothing brand as well. Are you still looking for franchisee for that?”
“Our clothing brand go the counter route and are not looking for franchisee but, I recalled that your shop had been doing well. What prompted you to watch to open up a undergarment shop all of a sudden? Oh right, where are you right now? Why did it show a City Nan number?”
“I am in City Nan.”
Hearing that the big sister was in City Nan, Shu Yan said angrily, “Didn’t I tell you to let me know when you come to City Nan? Why didn’t you tell me sooner? Where are you right now? I will go pick you up.”
Shu Yan finally met up with the big sister about an hour later. It seemed surreal when Shu Yan saw her again. The big sister looked even more disheveled than the last time that Shu Yan saw her and much skinnier. Her skin was a waxy yellow color.
“What happened to you? How are you so different than the last time I saw you?”
The big sister sighed and said, “I guess there is no reason to keep it from you anymore. My ex-husband came looking for trouble and asked for the house and my son back. That would just kill me. I stood my ground. I am not going to hand over the house or my son. Then he started coming to make scenes at my shop. To a point that I can’t run my business anymore. I had no choice but to close the shop up but that didn’t stop him. I can’t even run my shop now.”
“Why was that?” Shu Yan recalled the big sister had told her in the past that her ex-husband had chose to move out without taking a dime just to be with the other woman.
The big sister was so angry that she shook when they got to this point. She told Shu Yan the rest of the story with her eyes reddened.
The reason that he wanted to speedy divorce was because the other woman was pregnant. For whatever reasons, the woman lost the child and was never got pregnant again. It seemed that she wasn’t able to get pregnant again so they turned their attention to big sister’s son.
“These two are too shameless.”
The big sister shook her head, “His plan now is to drive me insane. That way he will have a reason to take my child away from me.”
Shu Yan sighed. Yup, there surely were all kinds of people out there.
