Suddenly, Shu Yan realized that she was not in the future. Many kids in the future had been spoiled like emperors or princesses. They wanted their families to only dote on them and not to share them with little brothers or sisters.
Things are different now. Or the education was different back then. There was no such thing as democracy. No parents would consult their children before having a second or third child.
Besides, JingJing grew up in the village in City Xi. Many in the village had three or four children. Some were remarried and had more children.
Nobody ever cared about the feelings of the older children. There was no such thing, including in the houses of her current classmates’ family.

“Are you worried about me or that your child in me would starve?” Shu Yan was displeased all of a sudden. She felt annoyed inexplicably.
“I worry about you, of course. I worry that you will feel sick.” Feng Zeyu, taken aback a little, replied immediately.
Upon seeing that, Aunty immediately smiled and said, “It’s fine as long as she can stomach food. There was this woman in our village who vomited from the beginning of her pregnancy all the way to the end. After she had given birth, both the adult and the child were fine. It was just that the adult had to suffer. Giving birth is not easy.” She said the last part to Feng Zeyu purposefully. She wanted to tell him to be tolerating to Shu Yan now that she was pregnant.
Feng Zeyu smiled. He understood what Aunty was saying to him. Nevermind that Shu Yan was pregnant, he would be tolerating to her even if she wasn’t.
She could at least eat vegetables and rice a few days ago. Recently, even Shu Yan thought she might starve to death if she wasn’t able to at least stomach an apple.
“Is there anything that you want to eat? I’ll go and find it for you.” Squatting down next to Shu Yan, Feng Zeyu asked with a worried look.
“You don’t like it that I am starving your child.” Tears rolled down Shu Yan’s cheeks as she talked. She felt very aggrieved. “I’m hungry too. My stomach feels like it is on fire, but I can’t stomach anything. Do you know what it feels like to be hungry but can’t stomach anything? I feel awful and all you care about is your child being starved!”

“I’m sorry. I don’t even know what is going on. I…… just want to cry.” Even Shu Yan felt embarrassed after she had said that. What kind of a reason was that?
Truth was, she was very stable in front of others. She was only this way in front of Feng Zeyu.
After a month like that, Shu Yan finally slowly regained her appetite. She could at least stomach a little bit of food.
School started for the kids again and it was quiet again inside the house all of a sudden. Shu Yan didn’t head into the office that day and wandered over to her Second Sister’s stationary store during her free time. She could see a man talking to her sister from afar. When she got closer, Shu Yan could see that the man was bespectacled and looked decorous.
“Second Sister.”
