Hu Ruixue gave a motherly smile when she saw the little baby who was in deep sleep. “This will be my little son going forward.”
She brought the baby a lot of gifts. There was a gold locket, a gold bracelet, and a house.
Okay, nevermind the gold locket and bracelet but a house was a bit much. Shu Yan adamantly refused to accept the house. “How old is he now? Who would gift a house to a child?”
“It’s not for you.” Hu Ruixue gave Shu Yan a cross eye. “And not just Xiao Bao, you, JingJing, and Tianbao each get one too.”
One time when Shu Yan and Hu Ruixue were chitchatting, they talked about future fields that would make money domestically and Shu Yan mentioned real estate.
Hu Ruiyang found out later and went to invest into real estate. He bought a lot of good locations, and their construction began this year.
The house that Hu Ruixue gifted to Xiao Bao was from the first phase. She reserved a moderate-size building for herself. It was 7 stories total. First floor was an indoor pool and playground for the kids. Second floor was a rest, relaxation and workout area for the adults.
Third floor was dedicated to Duoduo. Fourth and fifth floor had two suites residing within, one for Hu Ruixue, and one for Shu Yan. The two units on the sixth floor were for Tianbao and Xiao Bao.
The entire seventh floor was for JingJing. It was connected to the rooftop and had a patio. JingJing would be able to grow flowers that she liked.
“You are too generous.” Shu Yan lamented.
She looked at the location. This area would be going for tens of thousands per square meter in 20 years and Hu Ruixue reserved an entire building. And she decided on two stories for recreation. That was too overly luxurious.
“You just have to say whether you want to be my neighbor.” With hers and Shu Yan’s net worth right now, they could easily buy their own land and build 10 buildings like this. It really wasn’t that luxurious.
“Of course I want to be your neighbor, but I can’t move there any time soon.” Shu Yan was currently staying at her house over at Xiazhuang. After spending some time with the Old Grandma, Shu Yan quite liked this kind and open grandmother. She sincerely wanted to take care of her with Feng Zeyu.

Zhang Huaxiu came with her and picked up on Shu Yan’s displeasure. She dragged Wu Xiuyue with her and took off shortly.
Normally, resting for a week in the hospital would be sufficient but Feng Zeyu was worried and insisted for Shu Yan to stay for an extra week. Finally, Shu Yan could no longer tolerate the smell at the hospital and insisted on going home before Feng Zeyu gave in.
Going through yuezi* during this time, it wasn’t bad. The weather was neither too cold nor too hot and then there was Aunty making her different delicious dishes every day. Even so, Shu Yan had been slowly losing weight.
“How come you lost more weight?” Feng Zeyu wanted to take Shu Yan to the hospital again.
“That won’t be necessary. Of course I will lose weight after I have given birth.” Shu Yan had made a point of telling Aunty that she didn’t want to binge eat during yuezi. That was the reason she did not balloon up like other women who had given birth.
She learned that from a former colleague of hers. That colleague had posted her meals everyday during yuezi and said that they were put together by topnotch yuezi woman**. They were both scientific and healthy. She flooded her friend’s circle with posts on that topic during that period of time and would talk about it more at work. It was impossible for Shu Yan to forget about that.
