Chapter 598 Scared To Face Her
The media gathered outside of the hospital to get every single information. They had appointed the police force in the hospital so that there won't be any disturbances to the Lu family and the hospital because of the reporters. Only the patients and their relatives were allowed to enter. The VIP floor of the hospital was highly secured with San Zemin's men guarding it and other than Lu family members and appointed VIP-floor staff, no other person was allowed to enter on that floor.
In the evening, after the surgery, when Jiang Yang came out, he informed others about the condition of Lu Jinhai and it was not something good to hear. He was in comatose and still in danger, with less life expectancy.
Jiang Yang went to check on elder Lu and though it was a lie, he assured him Lu Jinhai and Jiang Yuyan were perfectly fine. The moment Ning Jiahui woke up, she did nothing but to cry and Su Hui continued consoling her, though no word was enough.
Ning Jiahui went to see her husband and Jiang Yuyan, who were in ICU after the surgery. She could only see them through the glass barrier of the ICU and didn't know whether to mourn for her son's death or to pray to god for the wellbeing of those who survived. Jiang Yang assured her that they would be fine.
Inside, Jiang Yang was tired and felt like crying too, but he had no other option but to stay strong. Nixxxie wanted to go to Jiang Yang, but she stayed with his parents, assuring him that she will take care of them and he can focus on his work.
He went to visit Lu Feng as neither he stepped out of the room nor he moved from the bed and continued staring at the ceiling.
The moment Jiang Yang entered his room, Lu Feng asked worriedly, "how are they?"
"Uncle is still in danger while Yuyan is better. I am worried about what will happen when she will wake up," said Jiang Yang. Lu Feng was the person with whom Jiang Yang could share his worry at the moment.
"Hmm! That's what I am worried about too." Thinking about Yuyan made Lu Feng even emotional.
"Are you not going to see her?" Jiang Yang asked.
"I don't have enough courage to face her as I couldn't save him." Lu Feng answered.
"It's not your fault and I don't think she will blame you," Jiang Yang countered.
"She won't but I do. I can't forget her desperate eyes who were begging me to save him. You don't know what condition she was in. She wanted to run and save Lu Qiang but she was helpless, she could not move her hand other than just staring at him helplessly."
Saying Lu Feng broke into the tears and Jiang Yang had no words left to say other than sitting there with teary eyes. Seeing his sister in pain once again was the biggest punishment of his life.
Just then, there was a call on Lu Feng's mobile and it was from Lu Lian. Controlling himself, Lu Feng received it thinking his sisters must be in bad condition too. The moment he received it, the rushed voice came out.
"Brother, Lu Lijun is missing." Lu Lian was crying and sobbing.
"What?" Lu Feng exclaimed and it scared Jiang Yang thinking what happened now. After this huge incident, even a tiny thing was enough to scare them.
"Yes, brother and I-I don't know what to do." A crying voice came out from the other side.
Getting out of the bed, Lu Feng asked, "Tell me what happened that he is not there?"
Lu Lian replied, "He was in his room till noon. He had lunch and we made sure he won't get to know about anything but now as I went to his room sometimes before, he was not there."
Listening to her and putting on his shirt, Lu Feng instructed, "Check in the garden."
"We checked every corner of the home but he is nowhere," Lu Lian replied.
"Wait for me, I will be home soon." Saying Lu Feng cut the call and Jiang Yang, who was anxiously waiting to know what happened, asked, "Lu Lijun?"
Lu Feng nodded. "Hmm! He is not at home." Saying, Lu Feng stepped out in a hurry and instructed Jiang Yang. "Be here and take care of everything."
"Don't worry," Jiang Yang assured him.
Lu Feng got the car from San Zemin's man and rode home after informing San Zemin to look into it too.
On the way to the home, Lu Feng called An Tian and asked him to be at Lu Mansion immediately, as it worried Lu Feng that Lu Lijun must have got the news and he must be in shock. He cursed himself for forgetting about Lu Lijun being immersed in his own pain. He couldn't imagine how much it must have affected him.
When Lu Feng reached the mansion, he went to Lu Lijun's room and noticed his laptop was on. He looked into it just to see the online news of Lu Qiang's death and the accident. As expected by Lu Feng, Lu Lijun had finally got to know about it.
He went to the security guards to ask if they had seen him or not, so one of them who was already scared of not being able to do his job properly spoke.
"In noon, young master stepped out of the mansion. We stopped him so he said he was going out to see his friend who lives in a nearby mansion. Young master looked serious, so I didn't dare to stop him. Still, I followed him to make sure, but soon he disappeared from my eyes. I tried to search, but I couldn't find him."
"Idiot! Why didn't you inform someone in the family the moment he disappeared?" Lu Feng exclaimed and held the guard by his collar.
It scared the guard even more. "I- I thought, the young master must have entered any one of the mansion around to meet his friend and I missed noticing it."
