Chapter 54: Invited
“Ah Xin, ignore her. Our makeup isn’t done yet.” Bai Ran did not want to respond. After a few seconds, she seemed to have thought of something and said, “Are you free tonight? Have a meal with me. It’s my treat.”
“Aiyo, why did our Ran Ran remember to treat me to a meal today?” Lan Xin smiled wickedly at Bai Ran. “Tell me, there must be something you need my help with, right?”
“I…” Bai Ran smiled shyly. “Sort of. You accompanying me to eat is a huge help to me.”

“I promised to treat Jiang Yun to a meal. I want to bring you along…” Bai Ran said shyly.
“The two of you should eat together. What’s with an 800-watt third wheel like me beside you?!” Lan Xin’s eyes were filled with confusion. “I saw him coming over to look for you all the time. He even picked you up after work. I thought that even if the two of you weren’t together, you would be together soon.”

As soon as she got off work, Bai Ran pulled Lan Xin to the office to look for Jiang Yun and told him that they were going to eat together.
Looking at Lan Xin beside him, Jiang Yun was a little unhappy. A single date had been ruined.
However, they were all colleagues. Jiang Yun could only say casually, “Then let’s go together. Take my car.”
When she reached the door, she saw Huo Tian’s car parked there.
Bai Ran gasped. What was going on?
She turned to Jiang Yun and said, “Go get your car from the parking lot with Ah Xin first. I’ll look for you later.”
With that, Bai Ran walked to Huo Tian’s car. Huo Tian smiled and said, “Miss Bai, are you free today?”
“Boss Huo, you saw it too. I’m going to eat with my colleague,” Bai Ran rejected.
“Then next time.” Huo Tian’s tone was very amiable. “I’ll ask you in advance in the future. After all, I said I would give you the greatest respect, so I’ll do it.”
There was a faint smile on Bai Ran’s lips, and a hint of disdain flashed across her eyes. However, she quickly hid it and said, “Boss Huo, I think there’s something you don’t understand. With that, he drove away.

The three of them went to a hotel not far away and entered a private room. Bai Ran took the menu and handed it to Lan Xin and Jiang Yun. “Order some food. Pick more things you like.”
As soon as he finished speaking, the door to the private room was pushed open and Hu Wan came in uninvited.

It seemed like Hu Wan’s control of her whereabouts had increased even more. She could even follow her to the hotel she had decided on last minute.

Because a moment ago, she had called Chen Chen and found out that he, Ye Lin, and Han Xu were also in this hotel!
