Chapter 104 – Are You Going To Avoid Our Marriage?
Strangely enough, why did the driver just run away in the middle of the journey? He didn't even send his master back to the hotel and didn't even see how drunk he was!
Jiang Ruolan looked at the road in front of her with regret. Because she also drank alcohol, she carefully observed her surroundings, afraid of coming across a police car. She didn't want the traffic police to stop her to measure her alcohol's accuracy.
"I'm talking to you! Did you hear me?"
"Xian Zihao?"
There was no response from behind.
Jiang Ruolan gritted her teeth in hatred and saw a red light at the intersection in front of her. She stomped the gas pedal hard and purposely braked.
At first, she wanted to make Xian Zihao crash into her seat to wake him up, but who would have thought that he suddenly stretched out his hand to block the seat in front of him. He immediately opened his eyes.
"Which hotel?" Jiang Ruolan frowned impatiently.
Xian Zihao ignored her question and leaned back in his seat with his eyes closed.
"Xian Zihao! What's the matter with you? I'll ask you which hotel you're staying in! Why didn't you answer me? Do you want me to leave you by the side of the road?"
"Where do you live?" Xian Zihao didn't open his eyes, but his thin, pursed lips moved.
Jiang Ruolan stared at him confusedly. She pursed her lips and didn't say anything. She wasn't going to answer.
"Take me to your place." As if Xian Zihao didn't want to hear Jiang Ruolan's answer, he continued to bury his tired body into the seat, ignoring her chatter.
"My place?!" Jiang Ruolan looked at him in disbelief. Suddenly, she heard the deafening sound of a car behind her. She realized that the red light had already gone by. She turned around and started the car. She was confused.
Could it be that Xian Zihao considers her one of the women outside? Was he that drunk?
She drove for a while and then stopped the car on the side of the road. She turned around and looked at the man behind her, "Do you have your ID card with you? I will find a hotel for you to stay."
Xian Zihao didn't seem to hear her.
Jiang Ruolan made up her mind. She didn't want to say anything more and drove to the nearest hotel.
Finally, she saw an upscale Star hotel nearby. Just as she was about to stop the car, a cold voice came from behind, "Jiang Ruolan, are you going to avoid our marriage like this?"
Jiang Ruolan immediately hit the emergency brake. The person behind her seemed to be caught off guard this time and heavily crashed into her seat. She immediately heard a stuffy groan from behind, and stiffly turned around to see, his head was pressed against the back of the chair. "Sorry, I didn't mean it to happen."
Xian Zihao let out a long sigh and stretched his body with his hands on his forehead. His thin, pursed lips hinted his anger at the impending attack. Jiang Ruolan even caught a glimpse of veins bulging on his forehead.
She grinned, not knowing if she wanted to cry or laugh, "I didn't mean to! Are you okay?"
Xian Zihao put his hands down, and his dark eyes fell on the corners of Jiang Ruolan's mouth.
Jiang Ruolan tried to hold back a smile. Xian Zihao glanced at the hotel but did not move.
"You can stay at this hotel. Go in and relax well."
Xian Zihao was not moving. Jiang Ruolan felt the atmosphere inside the car was a bit strange. She quickly opened the door and was about to leave.
Xian Zihao did not stop her, nor did he get out of the car with her. When she walked a dozen steps away, his car was still parked quietly by the side of the road.
Jiang Ruolan couldn't help but turn around to take a glance after taking two steps. When she saw that Xian Zihao was still not getting out of his car, she was a little worried.
She just realized that Xian Zihao seemed to be in a bad mood.
Jiang Ruolan shook her head and quickened her pace. Why did she have to worry about him? He's a grown-up man.
After walking for nearly a hundred meters, she couldn't help but turn back to look at the car again. Xian Zihao still hadn't gotten out of the car.
She then walked back to the car and knocked on the window. There was no response. She opened the car door and found Xian Zihao still leaning against the seat as if he were asleep.
If he slept in the car during this autumn's weather, he might just suffocate to death, even if he did not catch a cold. What has happened to him?
Jiang Ruolan looked at Xian Zihao's sleeping face with distress. One could vaguely see how pale he was, probably because he had drunk too much alcohol and hurt his stomach.
Jiang Ruolan sighed lightly and bent down, carefully taking off Xian Zihao's jacket.
She found his cell phone and decided to call his driver and ask him (the driver) to come back and take him (Xian Zihao) to the hotel.
Just as she picked up the delicate black phone, it suddenly rang.
Jiang Ruolan paused for a moment and looked at the unfamiliar number on the screen. Then, she turned her head to look at Xian Zihao, who seemed to really be asleep.
Jiang Ruolan pressed the answer button. She didn't say anything. She wanted to wait for the other person to speak first to know the identity of the person she was talking to.
However, the person on the other end of the phone did not speak either. Jiang Ruolan could vaguely hear the sound of the wind, but it was not very loud either.
She hesitated as she held the phone. After thinking for a while, she tried to speak, "Hello? Who is this? President Xian was resting. May I ask what–"
Before she could finish her sentence, she heard a hollow, blind beep from the phone.
