Chapter 214: New Residence
Fang Shaohua sighed. “Looking back, it was pretty obvious that she didn’t want me around lest I noticed her acting weird.”
“That’s right.” Fang Xinxin nodded. “At that time, I was too young to be able to think clearly.”
Due to her second chance at life, many things had become apparent now.
“You’re still young, you’re only 19.” Fang Shaohua looked at her dotingly.
With a tinge of guilt, he said, “Li Shaohong has given me a simplified version of your circumstances in the Fang Family during the three years that I’ve been in prison.”
“The people in the Fang Family are way too overbearing!” he said in anger.
He almost wished he could kill them!

Saying so, she withdrew from his embrace.
Suddenly feeling the emptiness in his arms, his heart felt as though a piece of him was taken away. He wished to hug her forever and never let go!
However he didn’t have the right to do that.
He also could not let her doubt his feelings. It would only increase the burden in her heart.
He took a second to stabilize his emotions, but the guilt in his expression did not fade. “It is truly my fault for making you suffer so much.”
To him, seeing her in agony was worse than getting hacked by a cleaver!
She said tenderly, “Don’t worry, your sister really won’t let others bully her again. Brother, you’ve been released temporarily for medical treatment, under the pretext of tuberculosis. Try to avoid coming into contact with others, especially those from the Fang Family, in case they find out that your condition is fake. You could stay in the ward next to this one or…”
She paused and said, “I’ve also arranged a safehouse for you to stay at temporarily. You could live there and come to the hospital regularly under the pretense of medical checkup. I’ve made arrangements regarding the doctor you’ll be seeing. He won’t disclose anything he shouldn’t to any outsider.”
“All right.” He nodded.
“Third sister, it’ll be inconvenient for me to return to the Fang home. Regarding mom, I think you had better perform a maternity test with her.”
They needed to know for sure whether Fang Lilan was her biological mother before deciding upon how to treat her.
“I will think of a way to do so.” She took out two masks from her handbag. She put one on herself and handed the other to him. “Brother, put this on. I’ll take you to your new home.”
Fang Shaohua accepted it. The two of them quietly left the hospital and took a taxi towards Hong Sheng district.
Strangers had to register before they could enter the district, but Fang Xinxin had been coming and going in for the past few days so the security guard recognised her.
Moreover, she had paid him a visit in advance and notified him that Fang Shaohua was the owner of one of the properties here. She had also described his appearance. Thus, the security guard allowed them to enter after he checked their appearances under the mask.
The district catered to the upper-middle class, and the paths for cars and pedestrians were separate.
Tall and lush trees were planted on the sidewalks between buildings, and there were many grey colored, long benches besides the pedestrian walkways. Multiple gazebos and fountains dotted the area for residents to cool off under. Willow greens that swayed with the wind were planted on the banks of the ponds and the breeze brought along a scent of nature that refreshed the heart.
The district had an extremely beautiful environment!
Fang Shaohua turned his head to look at Fang Xinxin who was walking alongside him. The light breeze gently swept past them. Thanks to her presence, Fang Shaohua managed to enjoy a rare moment of tranquility despite his heart that had been submerged in the darkness for so long.
Fang Xinxin stepped out of the elevator on the 20th floor. She turned left, and reached a two-room apartment. She pressed her finger on the fingerprint lock of the security door to unlock it.
