"What you said is right." The young man paused, "I will annul this engagement with you."
That was really what he intended to do after all.

She knew that her father won’t allow Mao Mao to annul the engagement especially when they have danced in front of so many people like now.

"You know that having your engagement annulled will tarnish your name, no?" Mao Mao raised one of his eyebrows.
Not to mention Tian Rong was someone from a prestigious family. If the royal family annulled the engagement, it would shame her greatly.
Tian Rong shrugged, "What else I can do? Father is just too ambitious."
